  1. The BBC have put a banning order on us for bringing their name into disrepute.

  2. 23 games, 14 goals, 8 assists so far this season. Fantastic asset.

  3. I think that is just him....I get the impression he sets high standards for himself & beats himself up when he doesn't hit them. If you focus on changing that, he may lose some qualities as a player.

  4. We'll miss Kent for the disciplined European set-up in Moscow. Big miss IMO.

  5. Sorry guy's due to technical difficulties it is going to be missing for a few weeks. It is outwith our control. I hope absence makes the heart fonder.

  6. Much of what you've raised comes from the over analytical aspect of modern football. Teams are almost not allowed to have bad games these days and "form" is judged on a game by game basis. With regards to Klop and Liverpool, much of their recent issues stems from their midfield IMO. They've sorted out their defensive problems but haven't got the balance right in middle and I think they miss Henderson. He's not spectacular but can be vital in the engine room. Kieta and Fabhinio are also still finding their feet. Saying all that, they are unbeaten in the League and have made their best ever EPL start but for me they haven't reached the heights from last season yet. If you compare Liverpool this season to the how they were at this stage last season it's night and day. I still feel they have loads in the tank and when they click they are the only team that will get near City.

  7. Consuming confectionery(part two). Dolly grazed at Rugby Park on Sunday, the PQ flock descended upon the wilds of Ershur. Big Dick, Liam McLeod, and Wullie Miller chorused, 'we hate Rangers more than you' to the established PQ CSC. Gary Holt brought a hint of balance, whilst on-message Scott McDonald stood pitch side. Pre-match, both Big Dick and Liam made excuses for the paucity of Dandies in the away end ie Early kick-off time, another typhoid quarantine in the Granite City, and an aversion to mutton in the Killie Pie. Post match, Saturday's games were discussed, well not all games. In fact every match was discussed apart from Rangers visit to Paisley. PQ had decreed the dismissal of Candeias was for aggressive behaviour and Morelos being struck by a coin was awkward. What's to add? In the last few minutes of the broadcast, Big Dick ran through the Premiership league table. The Dandies move up to seventh, St Johnstone were tucked in, one point behind both Kilmarncock and Rangers, Hearts remain top after being thrashed by second top, Celtic. The bottom three are cast adrift after Motherwell's two victories ........ Wullie Miller asks, "where are Rangers in the table"? Big Dick offers, if Killie had secured a point today, they would have remained ahead of Rangers. See what I mean about cake and eating it? Hands up, if you believe us license fee payers will receive live coverage from Moscow on Thursday evening.

  9. It’s a nonsensical idea. What happens? Does the ‘keeper get to pick the ball up unmolested? Is it a goal kick or a free kick. Is it a corner if the ‘keeper palms it round the post? Football is supposed to be a continuous game. There’s too much time wasting already. I quite like the goalmouth stramash that follows a partly saved penalty.

  10. Analysis/statistics seem to be the in vogue issue, long gone are the days of the "total football" edict. You only have to be at a game and if thing are not going well hoping for a sub to be brought on.A look over at the dug-out sees one being readied, then 5-10 minutes later on he comes after being shown through pages of formations,it's so annoying.

  11. The whole situation is embarrassing....and as a result (as it stands), Candeias will miss at least 1 match. He got a stupid yellow for celebrating the 1st goal (Leaving the field to celebrate with fans???), and a 2nd for doing nothing. In any even, the 1st one could have been prevented. Why are more fans not getting on Candeias' back, the same way that they did with Morelos for picking up a 2nd booking (in different games) in the League cup - resulting in him missing the Semi-final. Candeias is an important player for us, and has been playing well.

  12. I think the fans make their appreciation of him more than clear on match day. Personally, I wouldn't be too bothered about getting credit outwith the Ibrox family. But that's just me. On a side note, there's something about this time of year that really brings out the flavour of coffee. Simply delicious.

  13. Wrt mediumterm plans, DK has on occasion spoke of how he sees it in terms of the business but given the the way it has been used by the media, I don't think it a good idea for him to give them anything.

  14. It so happens that my Mrs and son cant make this Sunday's game either - two tickets (one juvenile) available for the Club Deck - for free of course to a Gersnetter. Would need to mail the tickets or I think can inform ticket office. Let me know.

  15. At PQ, it's always cake and eat it time. The PQ gang hut was alive with excitement, ripe opportunity must be exploited. Success must be reinforced. Neil had gesticulated overtly and concluded by falling to the ground clutching the side of his face. Neil had trumped his Equity Card by then playing the victim card. A supporting cast of PQ high heid-yins had moved to center stage, they wanted to be seen to be backing Neil. Tom, Chris, Jum, ................ et al had charged on to social media. The Producers proposed strict liability was the added stimulus to maintain momentum. Anything running interference, you know Neil's propensity for domestic bullying, his addictions, his repetitive action, reaction, victimhood personality, his depression, his land deal with Slab Murphy, .......... etc will all be steamrollered and ignored. Pantomime enthusiasm won out, the required word to dismiss any caution is, "Whataboutery"! DrStu' confidently stepped forward and boomed, "anything contrary should be deemed whataboutery and whataboutery is banned". It's interesting, coin throwing is universally condemned, but awaiting the grinding gears of the Scottish Justice System to resolve each and every incident, is not to be trusted. Neil Lennon has become a prop to the likes of DrStu' and the PQ lynch mob. Regularly, DrStu' weaponises Lennon's behaviour, he has proposed and supported Lennon to be the next national team boss, the next Rangers manager, and highlights his experiences as a lever to impact his preferred prejudices upon Scottish society. All reasonable if you accept Neil operates in a vacuum? Of course, nature hates a vacuum and concurrently in Paisley, events were making an arse of DrStu' and the PQ mindset again. Rangers striker, Alfredo Morelos had been struck by a launched coin. DrStu' and Cowan had no where to go, it was more grist to their mill in supporting strict liability. However, the enthusiasm was waning and the PQ high heid-yins' social media action mirrored the petty and ill-informed. Over a dozen supported Neil in adversity, only Jane Lewis continued succour to Morelos. Off the Ball in the second half saw DrStu' and Tam effect a we have what we hold action. Oh no, they were not for marching back down the hill. They settled on asking fans to clype and grass on those launching coins. In a matter of a couple of hours, assisting the Police was deemed a better course of action than railroading the Scottish Government into another vague and undefined piece of legislation to assuage Neil Lennon's vanity. Here's the cake and eat it bit, the culmination of the 2016 Scottish Cup final saw dreadful scenes. The Rangers Skipper, Lee Wallace provided a statement to the Police after being spat on and assaulted. A group of Hibees taunted Wallace, carrying a banner proclaiming, 'Lee Wallace is a Grass'. They took it to Malta to support the national team and the PQ Gang Hut reported it being paraded through airports, bars, and arriving at the ground, all the time being cheered to the echo. DrStu' tells us often of injustice keeping him awake at night. We should be concerned and pray for DrStu's insomnia to be resolved. I suspect his nocturnal dyspepsia is the result of wanting and eating too much cake?

  17. I would say there is no way we would get Rooney for various reasons but anyone who wouldnt take him should ask again. Rooney behind Morelos would be that creativity spark needed. We do need to try get away from having loanees long term but in the meantime if it assists in building us back to challenging and winning titles and eventually back into the CL then its fine.

  18. Agree. As much as I've been a bit critical of his end product of late he'd be good if the game is a bit more stretched. I hope the Russians have a go as we haven't played anyone since the Hearts game that have actually commited bodies forward.

  19. Allan McGregor is another; has shown real stupidity on a couple of occasions this year in big games. He's got away with it so this experienced player in his late 30's is not considered so much a risk temperament wise as young Alfredo Morelos.

  20. The problem I foresee for them is that whilst they can "now" claim that they are separate entities - back when the abuses took place it would be a more difficult ask of them. It is abundantly clear that these victims considered that they were playing for the youth system of Celtic. They distanced themselves by paying 20k (I believe) for the Celtic Boys Club to change name to St Patricks. It looks sinister from the outside looking in.

  21. We were the first club in Scotland to appoint a safeguarding officer, developing policies for the protection of young people and monitoring and reviewing our procedures to ensure they continue to reflect best practice. Yes...only because you had to, due to the previous investigation no doubt. They are the only club in the world that could release a statement like that. Instead of the focus being purely on the victims they still manage to spin a positive about how they are leading the way in this area. Shameless

  24. I chuckle whenever I see an assistant flip open his big binder and points to where the wing is. Pretty sure the winger knows vaguely where it is. Although it does answer why a substitution that should have been made at 60 minutes strolls on in the 80th.

  25. The above is the reason why Celtic will not apologise to those that have suffered the horrors of abuse at Celtic Boys' Club. If Celtic apologise or in some way offer empathy and sympathy for the plight of the victims; they are taking and admitting responsibility. Celtic chose a strategy three years past. They set about distancing the club from the Boys Club, waiting for it to whither. The disconnect achieved, a re-branded youth club under the name, 'St Patricks' was established. Concurrently, Gerry McCulloch was dispatched around the media outlets to conduct off the record briefings. Hence, phrases like 'Barrowfield Park' and emphasis on, 'East End locations', ................ etc. This week has seen a major fracturing of that particular PR line. They will have to establish something their supporters can get behind in terms of defence; however, they will not apologise or admit liability.

  29. No....he doesn't. Freddo is a cracking player who offers a helluva lot to the team as a whole. He works VERY hard throughout the game - working defenders, holding the ball, bringing other players into play. He is also no a completely goal hungry striker - he will give up a shot to allow an easier finish (sometimes). He also regularly scores goals (which is handy).

  30. Forward business plans are crucial to any business - it helps plan for future spending, budgets etc. It can also be crucial for any required external funding or potential investors to give them an idea of how the club/business is going to be run. In the goldfish bowl that is Glasgow football, publishing such a plan would be a terrible move as it would open the board up to no end of criticism. Look at the flack DK got about investing £30m of his kids inheritance....

  31. This appeal stuff is clearly something "half-baked" as we say. You can't appeal blatently wrong yellow cards, but you can appeal stone-wall, darkest of dark Red cards? The latter mainly to get a player free from an instant (Valid) ban to play in an important game ... despite knowing that he deserved his marching orders? This is the 21st century. It should be a simple thing to re-check fouls and cards given within minutes or hours of a game and/or question the refs & linesmen about their view. After that you can deem a card appealable, no matter the colour. Brown's tackle on Boyce (?) of Ross County was as Red as it gets, they appealed solely to have him available for the OF game. Same with Saints, who appealed a perfectly good Red on one of their players to have him available for their next game, as they were runningout of players ... or so they said during the commentary. That was not the intention of the appeal process ... and it beggars belief that they let it run in this way for so long.

  35. Surely a football club cannot produce a detailed future plan as results are on a weekly basis and cannot be seen years in advance. We will be 3rd in 2019 2nd in 2020 and champions in 2021is something that is hoped rather than predicted.
