Steven Gerrard says he wants Ibrox to be "rocking" when Rangers host Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts on Sunday. The Gers stormed to a 3-1 home win against Rapid Vienna in the Europa League on Thursday, and are hoping to reduce their eight-point deficit on Hearts this weekend. Gerrard is hoping that the Ibrox fans can replicate the European atmosphere for their league encounter, saying: "We'd love Ibrox to be bouncing and rocking again. I'm sure the supporters are going to be going to Ibrox in good spirits after last night. "But we also have to play our part. We can't start slow and wait for the crowd to lift us. Last night the players fed off the atmosphere and it really took them to a really high level. But the players' quality, their tempo and intensity made the fans even more vocal. "It worked perfectly yesterday and as a manager I'd love to see that again on Sunday. Ibrox was rocking, it was shaking, it was bouncing. I've experienced that many, many times at Anfield. The support was almost like a 12th man and it felt like that last night." "We're in good form and I feel we are ready and capable of going through to Glasgow and getting points," he said. "I think it'll be a great game and I'm hopeful we can do enough to come out on top. "We've faced a number of tests so far this season, however, and we've managed to deal with every one we've been presented with. So I'm hopeful that we can do the same again on Sunday. " Team news Ryan Jack is expected to rejoin Steven Gerrard's squad on Sunday. The midfielder has not featured since straining a calf while on Scotland duty last month. Long-term knee injury victim Jamie Murphy remains out while Lee Wallace faces another week or so on the sidelines with a groin injury. Uche Ikpeazu is an injury doubt for Hearts after missing the last few games, and it is touch and go as to his inclusion this weekend. Opta stats Rangers are unbeaten in each of their last five Scottish Premiership matches against Hearts (W4 D1), winning their last three - the last time they went on a longer winning run against Hearts in the competition came between December 2001 and December 2003 (run of nine consecutive victories). Hearts have won just one of their last 22 top-flight visits to Ibrox (D5 L16), a 2-1 victory in March 2012. Hearts manager Craig Levein believes his side can get a result at Ibrox Rangers have won six consecutive home league matches, scoring 18 times whilst conceding only two goals. They haven't won seven on the bounce in the top-flight at Ibrox since April 2010, when the seventh match in that streak was a 2-0 win over Hearts. This is Hearts' best start to a season in the Scottish Premiership (19 points from their opening seven games) since 2005-06, when they won each of their first seven matches. Former Hearts forward and current Rangers player Kyle Lafferty has scored five goals in six Scottish Premiership starts against Hearts at Ibrox for the Gers https://www.skysports.com/football/rangers-vs-hearts/preview/3911847 points

We just have to start stringing in the away results now and we will do well .5 points

We're playing the sort of football now i have been praying for, for the last six years, even longer. Fast, aggressive and skillful, if we can keep up this intensity to the end of the season i'm confident we'll right up there fighting for top spot.4 points

Welcome back Gribz. I think Calscot was upset by some negative posts against him. Unfortunately he stopped posting. Whether you liked him or loathed him he was a good poster. Shame he threw in the towel3 points

Ps. That goal today alone would be on the news on every sports channel had it been scored by Messi or Ronaldo.2 points

Played really well today. Ref was a joke though. 3 fouls gets you a yellow at rangers. 7 doesnt for hearts.2 points

That’s just mental. You know we will get done over by UEFA and sanctioned. Why do we do it? If that’s the attitude then don’t complain when we have a stand closed. I wish we wouldn’t sing it. It’s like poking yourself in the eye with a fork and doing it again because you like it???2 points

I have said before I wish they could find a cure for this and I really pray for Fernando but he was never a legend for me as a footballer. He had one great season when he was off the drink but otherwise mediocre at best. He was a player who could have hit the heights but his lifestyle worked against him.1 point

Ryan Kent was magnificent today. Love to sign him on a permanent deal if we could afford him1 point

He isn’t banned. He got his press priveleges pass withdrawn by Rangers because of his biased reporting. He can still get into Ibrox to cover games but chooses not to do so. As a result BBCPQ decided they wouldn’t send anyone to cover Rangers home games.1 point

It would have to be silly money to let him go in Jan or end of season. Silly money being above 10million. He’s irreplaceable imo, his stats don’t even reflect his full contribution e.g. his cross for the 3rd goal was essentially an assist but Morelos gets it for his header back to Arfield. He’s so important to us, and with 55 on the cards this season, we can’t afford to let him go. I’d be gutted even if we sold him for 10 right now. Brighton are in dreamland if they think 3m is closer to his value.1 point

Bitterly disappointed it finished 3-1 after being 3 up at half time and I am not joking!. Brilliant first half though and would have taken that score before the game1 point

So was the assistant on the SJ stand side. Clear handball & Rangers penalty second half. He was looking straight at it1 point

The first half was sensational. We were feisty and up for a scrap. More of that please Rangers.1 point

Don't think Hearts did a lot wrong. Another excellent half from Rangers.1 point

Beaton's blowing the whistle a bit much, but fair enough, he's made that decision and needs to follow it through. The bookings look totally arbitrary, though.1 point

Absolutely fantastic first half from Rangers , against a very decent Hearts team . Only problem is the refereeing yet again .1 point

Oh... Yes. Free-kick whipped in, Hearts pushed up so Morelos had the ball in acres of space with just the 'keeper to beat; he lays it off to Kent to walk it in to an open net. He could've went himself, but makes sure by passing it. 1-0.1 point

I agree to a certain extent but the market in England is crazy (Armstrong went to Southampton for 7/8 million for example). With the money sloshing around the top 2 leagues in England it's a sellers market, we have to maximise the value of our assets (if we are going to sell)1 point

I don't have a favourite exactly although I've been to see Yoker a few times in recent years and keep an eye open for their scores. I've Ayrshire mining stock on one side of my family and recall being taken to see Cumnock in the Junior Cup final many moons ago. But growing up Petershill were my preferred side, the old Peasie Park was a great ground. Went to see Ashfield and Rob Roy too, even played at Adamslie Park as a boy. In some ways I'm sad that many of the Junior sides are joining the senior set up. At the same time Junior football is largely drawing from the same playing stock as lower league senior sides so I suppose it makes sense. Watching the grand old Junior grounds gradually disappear is sad though, but that's progress I suppose.1 point

No chance. If England is his destination, you are looking £10 million plus. That is spare change to most EPL teams1 point

Old Firm wins aside, the Kiev game in 87 was out of this world. Parma in 99 was special to. The Aberdeen last day league decider (2-0 Hateley) was also a stand out1 point
