Why the fuss? This can be easily solved. There should be only one semi final. Rangers v Aberdeen, celtic and Hearts. 11 v 33 subject to Jack and Morelos being sent off. The game to be played at the Brendanbeu because Hampden is too much like a second home for Rangers. There will be no need for a final tie. The team excluding Aberdeen or Hearts that scores the most goals against Rangers will be awarded the Cup, even if Rangers win. Quite simple really.4 points

One must marvel at Nestle, there's a diktat for everyone. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, orange flavoured, mint flavoured, cookies and cream flavoured, ...... etc. There's even a Discriminatory Diktat, wrapped in vivid green'n'grey packaging. Peter has a break, has a diktat.2 points

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45739578 Hearts' Scottish League Cup semi-final against Celtic has been moved to Murrayfield and will kick-off at 13:30 GMT on 28 October. And Aberdeen v Rangers will take place on the same day at Hampden at 16:30. Both matches were originally scheduled to take place in Glasgow with an early afternoon start for the Dons' meeting with Rangers and an evening kick-off for Hearts v Celtic. Celtic manager said he was "disappointed with the process". When the fixtures were originally announced last week, Hearts and Aberdeen stated their concerns about travel arrangements for supporters with both games taking place on a Sunday with reduced public transport provision. Both games can only be played on the Sunday at the earliest as both Celtic and Rangers have Europa League fixtures on Thursday, 25 October.(2 points

It's actually very difficult to pick an 18 man squad for tomorrow, never mind the actual first XI. Despite some average form since he returned from injury I think Coulibaly will make it and I think Grezda might also start. On the bench, I expect Worrall to drop out and one of Dorrans, Jack and Halliday might not make the squad either so we have attacking options on the bench. A quick and positive reaction to the Livi defeat is required and tomorrow night at Ibrox is the perfect time to answer our critics.2 points

Ra Sellik are saying if their match is confirmed as being switched to Murrayfield, they want a redraw of the semi-finals. Why don't we play both ties(whatever they are) at Croke Park? Or, Tokyo if that suits Lawwell's long standing proposed tour of Japan?2 points

Celtic v Hearts Althawra Sports City Stadium, Yemen. 12 noon Saturday 37th October Neil Doncaster's new contacts in football who had already provided a solution to Scottish football as one of the new broadcasting partners for the SPFL have came forward to help us out again. When asked about the new venue Doncaster replied "A lick of paint may be required but at least the press should be happy with a well ventilated media centre"2 points

I think this has got to the point where the silence from Ibrox has to be taken as proof that the entire affair has been stage-managed for our benefit. At least I hope that's the conclusion reached by the other three clubs.1 point

They played CL qualifiers at Murrayfield a couple of years ago. Was that discriminatory too? The scum, the sheep and Hearts fans have been whining like little girls about these semi finals. Maybe it's the way they're brought up?1 point

Jim White doesn’t take his kids to the Celtic games, Spiers does. White has done well for himself. He could have been a nonentity like Delahunt but chased the money & made a decent career down south. However if you work for Talksport it is part of your job to wind people up. Why folk let them succeed is beyond me. I suppose it is a bit like Rangers fans who constantly read blogs from the likes of that guy Phil, not comparing Jim to him. Considering how much so-called comedy Only an Excuse used to take the push out of him for being a bluenose, I am pleased he has done well. He could have stayed in the Scottish media and become a parody of his Only an Excuse character, like Chick Young did, but unlike him Jim White had a bit of pride and ambition, so he got out. End of the day though, Rangers do have an anti-social element in our support. Whether it is bigger or smaller than other clubs’ I don’t know, but it’s not important. If somebody assaults someone at their work they should be jailed, whoever they support. I can’t even remember that linesman making any particularly bad decisions either!1 point

To give him any benefit of doubt that comment sounds like those of someone that doesn't follow football and gets their news through the filter of our terrible tabloid media. I dont believe he's that daft or naive though. This was the guy that done many of Charles Greens puff pieces. No harm in being fooled once but i get the feeling White probably stands by that work and thinks CG is a good guy. Heard him recently interviewing Sullivan at West Ham in a "hard-hitting" interview. It was pathetic. He just did not get the fans concerns at all or dig on any of the questions they put to him. Dont know if he does but I'd guess he's the type of guy that backs Mike Ashley as well.1 point

There are certain things which need to take place to eliminate as much bias as possible. One way to omit bias from the Scottish game would be to import fulltime refs from outside of Scotland. Practicable? Firstly, SPFL would have to go to a full-time referee system. Additionally, a video review should be introduced as well as an impartial, permanent review board which examines all carded calls. Referees should be graded and ranked based upon the accurateness and timeliness of their calls. If referees fail to meet prescribed standards then they should be replaced. If you want a professional league then you must have a truly professional referee corp. This is not rocket science.1 point

Really, I'd have thought that kind of patter was all the rage in Westphalia! ???️1 point

What an absolute organisational shambles. It's starting to take on a new level of avoidable farce. The time to sort this out was at the beginning of September (I started a Gersnet thread about it on Sept 6th). They needed to look at potential problems, speak to parties who could be key to providing solutions and have clear what the provisional decision would be when as was probable both OF clubs made the semi-finals and were drawn apart. It almost seems as if they were just hoping that the draw would throw-up another OF semi-final.1 point

Wonder how Murdoch McLennan will deal with this, being that the SPFL has decided that he is not conflicted ... https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-insist-spfl-dont-automatically-13350192 Celtic insist SPFL don't automatically send them to Murrayfield as Betfred Cup farce continues The Hoops have written to the league body and are asking for a ballot to decide which tie is moved across the country. I don't think Jim Whyte is actually what you would call a Rangers fan, and i've never considered him to be one either ,he maybe started off as one in his younger years , but any love he may have had for the club was never going to interfere with his career. I watched the interview with Si Ferry that was posted here ,and it was a good watch , but i don't think at any point he confessed to currently supporting Rangers, so no point in getting hacked off if he says anything derogatory about us, as he's just another part of the football media desperately vying for attention .1 point

Not a difficult because he is tantamount to the a******e fan scenario that haunts any club. The chances of him owning up are as little as those around him passing on his information. The likeliehood of him being a loner at the game is slim so those who know him and do not divulge his identity are a******es too.1 point
