Yesterday's coverage of our match against Dundee was more of what has become the PQ pattern. Transparency was the key word. DrStu' believes transparency will be achieved if the Review/Disciplinary Committee is made up of former players, as well as former Refs. He specifically stated the name of a fellow PQ employee who, "also wants an emancipated Scotland" to be involved. He went on to say that Michael Stewart would only willing to do it, if anonymity was guaranteed. He would rather avoid the social media storm that would accompany such decisions. Tick one for preferred prejudice. Big Dick hosted a twenty minute discussion on the same subject matter. Aberdeen are unhappy, Steve Clarke is perturbed, Neil Lennon has an interest, and everyone talked about kicking out and flicking a kick. Everyone was Wullie Miller, Billy Dodds and his EBT, Chick Young, Scott McDonald, and Alan Preston. Both Morelos and McGregor are guilty as sin and anyone else carded is provided with mitigation, including Neil Lennon aeroplaning. In the interests of 'transparency', we should know the make up of these three men panels. There was agreement that there is one rule for one club and another for everyone else. Tick two and three for preferred prejudice. It's interesting, we were told consistently that there was no need to know the identities of those disciplining our club, it wouldn't help the process. When McCoist questioned anonymity in the interests of transparency, it was Beeb Scotland that led the charge in ridicule. Oh, and if you are a license fee paying Bear, do not have the temerity to ask BBC Scotland which employee will be this week's FARE representative in Villareal? Further, Scott McDonald has some neck. Last season, he was correctly red carded for a flat of the boot lunging assault at a Rangers player and he appeared on Sportsound twice and on Sportscene once during the immediate week following his dismissal, to plead his case. That's right Scott, one rule for one ....... who else has such generous access? Objective appreciation occurs when all factors germane to the subject are thoroughly tested. Advantages and disadvantages are listed on each component. You arrive at a conclusion that can be advanced. A preferred conclusion that forces the equation to fit is corrupted absolutely. If you omit a constant factor, then your conclusion is false. The culmination of this twenty minute discussion saw Alan Preston in the final twenty seconds say, "Just because Rangers turned up with a Lawyer to bamboozle the committee doesn't make it right, kicking out at a fellow pro' compared with Neil Lennon aeroplaning on to the pitch, what's more dangerous"? Ninety-nine per cent of a discussion refusing to mention the crucial factor of a club participating in the process, fully armed; is omitted. Now, if one of Alan the Agent's players was the subject of an appeal and he was supported by a Solicitor/QC, would Alan the Agent utilise the word, "bamboozle"? To coverage of our game, Chico was 'monitoring' events. He began his team news from Ibrox by this introduction, "today's bottom half of the table fixture between Rangers and Dundee ......". Big Dick before the end of the show read out the SPFL table, "Hearts leading with a perfect fifteen points, Celtic and Livingston on ten points, and Hibs, St Johnston, and Rangers on eight points". Apparently, we are sixth; well, at least our next league fixture is top half of the table against the Saints one place above. Ah, that old adage about being accurate ensures objectivity?8 points

The distinctive thing about our kit is our socks. We should never play in any different colour socks no matter the top.4 points

I think the applause for Miller whether it was merited or not was a better more dignified way to sign off on him than the type of treatment we see Jack get at the sheep pen.4 points

Good performance and most importantly a great reaction to the Tims defeat. How we react to set backs, and we will experience set backs through the season, is the measure of how good a team we have. Coulibaly returning makes a big difference to our midfield, he's a find and a half, I'd have given Candieas man of the match though, as both Coulibaly and Kent went off. Candeias does the simple things well, his crossing is accurate, his work rate superb and his consistency overlooked by many of us. Like Halliday he's another player who is benefiting from better management and better players around him.3 points

And we should also play in Royal Blue instead of that peely-wally 'Light' blue.2 points

He got plenty of applause at the time. Not sure why he was applauded for fouling a Rangers player and getting sent off.2 points

It was just a nice thing to do. A way to say goodbye to someone who’s been a key figure over 3 spells.2 points

100% agree re the Miller elbow on Halliday. He should have been sent off then. The applause for Miller when he went off was cringeworthy. I wasn’t involved in that.2 points

There’s no doubt our summer recruitment has been significantly better than 2016 & 17. It has been shown in our performances so far, particularly in Europe. We now have players we’ve bought whom we will undoubtedly get offers for in the near future & could sell on for profit.Sadly for as long as we remain in Scottish football that is what we have to live with because there’s no money in it. But we need to realise it is how we replace these players that will determine how we progress in the seasons ahead. Have we identified a replacement for Morelos? Katic? Barasic? Goldson? The league is there for the taking this season. The Timz are in disarray. They’ve just sold their best player because they didn’t make theCL. But we must endure our own house is in order first of all, And that means continuing with the DoF & SG which gives me the most confidence I’ve had in a long time2 points

I thought it was a great result today but an even more pleasing performance and could/should have scored more. More shocking performances from the officials, the standard of refs in Scottish football is at its worst. Onto Thursday night now which should be a great match and a huge test for this new look Rangers team.2 points

Sad news. Robson as manager.........Butcher, the Dutch pair, Mariner, Brazil, Mills etc....great team. Their European exploits were what I remember most.1 point

The best way to have conducted ourselves would have been the same silence afforded to other opposition players.1 point

A 2-1 away win for Liverpool who are beginning to look like the real deal. The first time since 1990 they have won the opening 5 league games and reportedly the win was a lot more emphatic than the score line suggests.1 point

As an aside, we had three players score their first goal for Rangers yesterday. That must be quite a rarity in itself.1 point

He’s a big player for us no doubt. I didn’t expect a goal threat from him. He is way above any of our 2nd tier rivals midfield. The test against the Tims is still to come but I am very confident he and Jack can deal with their midfield at Ibrox. We have an attacking midfield who can exploit their weaknesses so long as our defence is solid. Put them on the back foot and they are very beatable. Proven many times. We are acquiring the tools to do it.1 point

Good podcast and thoughtful contributions from reasonable folk. Just a point on our rubbish PR. It’s not all the fault of the Scottish media, our club media or a plot against us by the Spanish Inquisition. A lot of decent folk support Rangers and we need to make our voices louder. we have a fair number of zoomers in our fan base who do harm us (we have a big support so it’s inevitable). Fan sites like this give folk a platform to have rational discussion and be passionate. Long may it continue and well done to Frankie. Apart from winning trophies and having good financial management the biggest part of our PR is our fan base. Here’s a simple suggestion to start and we can all do it tomorrow. If you see unacceptable stuff on social media for example (and there’s loads from Rangers fans and our enemies) go on there and call it out and tell folk it does not represent your club or you.1 point

Miller did worse than sign for the sheep. And what was with the white socks yesterday? We should always play in red and black socks at home.1 point

I was completely baffled by this. We should have been thinking about our current players, not our former players.1 point

I agreed with SG's after match assessment that we were good in patches and pretty poor in patches. Incompetent officials are clearly the norm now, but I dont see things evening themselves out as we are so frequently told when yet another goal is chopped off, or our player wrongly penalised. The Morelos "goal" is an absolute shocker from the linesman, not up with play, a square pass and Morelos is behind the play at the time of the pass, it should be an easy decision for him to do nothing. Only if he is certain that a forward pass has taken place and that Morelos is ahead of the ball and the final defender can he put his flag up, and none of these actually occur so I will call it what it was, cheating. As for the rhat Miller, he should have been sent off for the elbow on Halliday, and I was absolutely disgusted that he was actually clapped off after a bad foul on one of our players got him his overdue red card. That was pretty much his only two contributions to the game, he is an even worse player now than he was for us, and that is a really low bar. Dundee might have a chance if he is banned for 3 games and they can play with 11 hard-working players instead of that passenger. Diddly O'Dea should have been sent off for that shocking attempted leg-breaker at the halfway line that we didnt even get a foul for. It was high, reckless and he went to ground at pace and stuck his leg up to make sure he caught him. He did get the ball (from my angle) but the reckless intent to injure an opponent is what should have seen him go off. You fear for McCann & his Dundee side, he lost most of his best players from last year and could only replace them with conference players, and Miller. A straight fight between them and Accies for the drop I think, with the other probably going down via the playoffs unless something can change in the winter window. Onto Spain we go for the hardest of our 6 group matches first up, if we can take anything from the game it will be a great result that could set us up for a tilt at qualification and post-Xmas Euro footy which is an incredible thought having been in Luxembourg just over a year ago!1 point

Willian is a cracking player. Better than Sane? Similar types. Willian seems to concentrate better but when Sane comes down from his cloud defenders can’t get near him.1 point

Like Marvin, I keep believing ... believing I've seen the most inept, cowardly and confused performance from a referee, then one comes along who confounds it by turning in something far worse. Football is a lottery when you give people like Clancy the whistle. What a complete dork. This is refereeing by idiots.1 point

Many in Scotland hate us Rab. Labour , Tory, SNP, liberal, and the common denominator is they support other football teams. I know a lot more labour unionists who hate Rangers than I do SNP folk who hate Rangers. They often masquerade as Hibs, Celtic, Aberdeen, Raith, Hearts, Spartans, DUFC fans etc etc. I want the Rangers fan base to expand and the danger in telling people how to vote or not vote is we end up as an insular, negative, paranoid, curiosity. It’s hard to create positive PR around a club if we fall into ever decreasing circles of negativity and become embroiled in political identity. Im a Rangers fan and scoring goals and winning things is all that matters. Who I vote for or who anyone else votes for should only be their business. It looks like the Tories are going to create a Brexit disaster which has the potential to screw my life like Thatcherism they imposed on me. Labour took us into Iraq and sold our gold and pensions and deregulated the banks. They will all have to try harder than tell me they support Rangers to get my vote. Maybe Ill vote Green.1 point

Rangers should actually go out their way to invite the non-Scottish BBC to Ibrox. It will highlight the fact we’ve not actually banned them and will also highlight the absolute ridiculousness of the Pacific Quay CSC.1 point
