I have to be 100% honest. When SG came on board I had reservations about the appointment. Like all managerial appointments it was a gamble and given what had happened over the previous 2 seasons, it was a huge gamble. I had also made an "assessment" about the Stevie G the man. In my eyes I considered him a bit of a "wide boy" with talented playing CV and maybe not suited to management and especially not suited to Rangers. It's early days but I'm genuinely glad that I was wrong on so many levels. I find his press conferences and interviews (and the way he conducts himself in general) refreshingly honest, informative and forthright. Take a bow Stevie. I'm more than impressed9 points

Young man, you are a far better and bigger person than any of the morons who try to give you a hard time! keep striving and smiling ?3 points

Personally I think it would be a big bonus to have Coulibaly starting ahead of Ejaria there. The main priority there is to keep a clean sheet and Coulibaly's ability to win the ball back would be huge for us. It's no slight on Ejaria but old firm games are often battles and the more aggressive team often comes out on top.3 points

BTW, Ryan Jack: what a player. Absolutely ran the show out there again tonight.3 points

I played tennis when I was younger. It is an incredibly difficult sport to be good at, without a doubt. I remember reading about Andre Agassi hammering US fighter pilots on the reaction training simulators and wasn't remotely surprised. To see a Bear doing well at anything is always good news. All the best, Luke!2 points

And put a real fear into their hordes. At the moment they’re pretending we’re a little better but not much. And Gerrard is still a rookie with no chance of outsmarting Brenda.2 points

Going into the OF game with a point advantage would be great. I would be tempted to go for it at CP and try to get a 4 pt lead. It would lay down a marker and install so much confidence2 points

I suppose Gerrard will know who needs a rest and who doesn't, not everyone will. Candeias could play 7 games a week and he'd still be on the treadmill before bed. I'm wary of reducing the quality in the starting line-up with rotation because momentum is so important right now and I'd much rather take guys off early. Having said that, as well as Barisic, I'd like to see Middleton starting. I'd prefer to take Halliday on when we're winning but Arfield will probably need a rest.2 points

From their website. Who are the Fare observers? The Fare observers are experts who have been recruited through an open process from across Europe. All have background knowledge in anti- discrimination issues and fan scenes. All observers speak the language of the teams they have been appointed to observe and are familiar with the corresponding fan cultures. The observers are working on a voluntary basis and are committed to being unbiased. They are not appointed as an observer at a game involving a team they follow themselves as supporters, or a close rival team. To my reckoning ,O'Henley should've been nowhere near our games.2 points

I've alluded to this before, so, apologies in advance for the repetition. The questions for me remain. How are PQ allowed to adopt and more importantly, maintain the editorial line/stance that they currently take? Who has their back? Are they directed from London? Or has Ken McQuarrie's empire building been rubber stamped from upon high, allowed to propagate by design, furthered by his acolytes like Donalda Mackinnon and afforded serious amounts of autonomous latitude in return for something else? Given the accusations of bias by BBC Scotland against 'Yessers' and promoting the status quo in terms of UK statehood, do the powerbrokers in London take the view that any mechanism (however seemingly trivial to the casual onlooker) that can be deployed to present an air of impartiality is acceptable? Is PQ a law unto itself? Was the BBC as a whole infiltrated by a socio-political sub strata twenty or so years ago and we are now in the midst of the ramifications of that with the hijacking of an organisational agenda? Or is it the case that as an organisation the corporation is struggling to come to terms with representing a changing Britain of many disparate viewpoints and we as a support and licence paying demographic are just unlucky in 'getting the shitty end of the stick'? You could be forgiven for thinking that the BBC is, as someone once famously said, 'a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma...'.2 points

6 mins of highlights courtesy of a TV programme from Ufa's homeland ... Chances galore ... and we simply need to become more clinical. I would assume that once Barisic plays regularly with a regular winger in front of him, the left side will click as much as the right. Candeias really looked up for it and Tav had a good game too. He probably needs to be more defensive next week though. Likewise, Tav needs to improve his dead-ball shots again. Long gone are the times when he scored a handful from a free kick. You would still hope that we'll trial a 3-5-2, perhaps with Flanagan on the right of the back-3. It would depend on the opposition who would occupy the wing-back slots.2 points

Driving to the game, listening to BBC Radio Scotland's live commentary of ra Sellik in Lithuania. It's the usual team taking their slices of the Beeb economic pie. Dandy Dons Big Dick presenting and Liam McLeod commentating. Tom English, Pat Bonner, Scott McDonald, and Chris McLaughlin all screaming, 'Hail Hail'! Assurances regularly offered by Big Dick that PQ will provide live commentary of all ra Sellik's Europa League matches, should they qualify. It's a nice little earner, qualification guarantees at least fourteen matches. Yahoos and Rangers haters need only apply for the gig, flashing the necessary credentials will be required. Of course, the Beeb mantra remains, 'Sellik are carrying the standard for Scotland in Europe'. Two Irishmen and an Australian telling us so, lends the mantra a different degree of authenticity. License fee paying Rangers supporters are confined to occasional coverage of events at Ibrox. I have a tiny digital radio, and on the stroke of half-time, I switched it on. Big Dick gave me the half-time score and named the scorer of our goal, then said, "and now we go over to that promised interview with Johnny Russell, currently playing in the MLS". An inane, turgid fifteen minutes conducted by Chick Young and an inarticulate Russell. Leaving the game, the occasional coverage of Ibrox events gig starred Steven Thompson and his EBT. Three-four minutes later, we were on to the more comfortable ground of Big Dick, Chick Young, Tom English, and Steven Thompson talking to Ayr United manager, Ian McCall. He thinks Lawrence Shankland could easily fit into Gerrard's Rangers system, there were no takers to extrapolate on that thought. Big Dick wanted to know his preparations for Saturday's game against the Pars? The final minute was spent summarising events in Lithuania and our score and scorer was repeated, then Big Dick handed over to the Quay Sessions. You know, I suspect if ra Sellik failed to make the group stages(highly unlikely) and Rangers succeeded, PQ would deem the Scottish standard too heavy for Bears. Still, being across events at Ibrox will provide opportunities for exposure to the managers of Edinburgh City and the Spartans. Nothing to hear here for license fee paying Rangers supporters.2 points

We played well, didn't panic trying to get a second, kept it tight and go into the second leg with a lead and no away goals. That's pretty professional and mid-table Russian sides are no mugs either. Arfield caused them problems initially but they altered their shape to contain him and that worked. That gave Ejaria more space and I thought he had his best match for us. Our left hand side isn't working as well as it should. With both Flanagan and Kent being right footed we lose the ability to cross early and attack the by-line. Barasic obviously fixes that problem domestically. How big is Lafferty now? He was always tall but I don't remember him being so powerful looking! It's going to be hard over there but it's in our hands and we should create chances.2 points

Their goal record is actually pretty much, exactly the same. He's not a goalscorer, but he can contribute to the team. He's a willing runner, presser; he'll hold it up; he's versatile, playing up top or wide; he'll help out aerially at set-pieces; he'll chip in with a goal here and there; and, he's got a lot of experience. A striker doesn't need to score goals to be an important cog in the team. Your argument is narrow-minded.2 points

One plus is that Chris McLaughlin wouldn't have been able to take a seat beside the FARE inspector. McLaughlin has in the past often been in close proximity to match delegates and fourth officials, who have went on to be involved in 'exclusives'.1 point

Their representative at Rangers visit to Villarreal was Alex O'Henley. Barra born and bred, Alex was the football correspondent for the West Highland Free Press and commentated in Gaelic for BBC Alba. The owner of the WHFP in those days was Brian Wilson MP(Junior Cabinet Minister), the same Wilson that sits on ra Sellik Board to this day. Alex presented a most unflattering report that led to Rangers being fined. We were told at the time that Rangers supporters did not need to know the identity of our accuser. lots of the usual suspects testified to his good character. If FARE do decide to report on Sellik, Alex can simply utilise his season ticket.1 point

And yet again we get a pathetic match report (465 words long). Maybe we should be thankful, after all this is the longest match report we've had from our European run so far. But once more it's dwarfed by Celtic's match report (750 words), with endless discussion and analysis of their stumbling towards the group stages having got the easier draw possible. Isn't it time the BBC came clean and admitted their relationship with Rangers has changed far beyond simply not sending reporters to the stadium?1 point

R4 Today sports presenter, Gary Richardson, well off message. “Rangers unbeaten in ten, celtic creaking”. Roddy Forsyth came on to restore the balance. It’s Boyata’s fault. GR might have said something other than “creaking”, I didn’t quite catch it. That was the gist of it, though.1 point

Compare and contrast to the sympathetic tone displayed a year ago by Mr English when Lafferty's gambling demons were exposed. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41239996 What has changed since then? Simple, he's back at the big bad Rangers and is now fair game.1 point
