Without being willing to turn this in a pro/con-Windass debate: we actually have enough cover for Windass already, not least if we decide to go 4-3-3 as some suggest. Murphy can play across the front line and also as a shadow striker, Arfield is there, Ejaria and Dorrans too. Our left flank in a 4-3-3 would be John - Arfield - Murphy. The right probably Tav - Docherty - Candeias. In the middle it is Rossiter, McrCrorie, Jack and possibly Coulibaly. Windass' best bet is if we play "two" up front and he's the shadow striker. Honestly though, I'd rather have two full-blooded strikers in there.
At the end of the day, it will be up to Windass to decide what is best for him. If he choses Cardiff, Swansea et al over the Gerrard revolution, I for one wouldn't lose any sleep.
