  1. At this stage 2.6M plus 7 home games would be like Xmas and help our finances and co-efficient significantly. Hope rather than expectation. .

  2. I'm in, sounds like a bit of fun. Unlike gifs which are just stupid. (anything I dont know how to do is automatically called stupid to deflect from my own technological stupidity!)

  3. Or just make the whole ground a giant Director's Box and give us all a blazer.

  5. Some quiet whispers (!!!) that we look at Martin Björnbak, a 26-year old centre-half currently with Norwegian side Bodo Glimt. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/martin-bjornbak/profil/spieler/184794 Exactly the market we should explore ... and these chaps will be well in their pre-season if not league season by now.

  6. He is definitely right Craig. There is a separate box for friendly fixtures. You won’t be allocated a brief unless you indicated you wanted one.

  7. Hopefully we can keep the better players and they are not sucked away like Gilmour. Well done to all involved with the academy, keep up the good work

  8. He has a book? Wonder who wrote it for him, and if he has got someone to read it to him yet!

  9. This law has been in force for years, but in recent years has not been enforced under police guidance. If we got a cup draw at the piggery we would be entitled to 12,000 tickets (20%) and the mhanks would get 10500 for Ibrox, but the Police say they are to get the normal league amounts as that is easier to handle from their perspective, and the clubs have always accepted this. It would be interesting if there is a OF cup draw before the SF stage where the two clubs and the police would have to come up with a number for the away team. Essentially once we have sold the ST, and if enough fans tick the box for home cup games, we would have to argue that the tims only get their usual league game amount (800) in the corner.

  11. I understand these friendlies were contractual obligation from player purchases in the Warburton era. Havent a clue who we bought from either club but we have to honour our agreements. I hate friendlies and have long since stopped paying money to watch them. They really tell you nothing about anything. I just want to hear that nobody got injured, I dont care about the score or scorers.I appreciate they are an essential part of getting players fit for the new season, but IMO they should all be closed doors or £5 to charity donation games and not money making exercises that fleece the fans and never offer value for money, with the usual revolving door of subs in the second half. Bury wont be anywhere near our level of fitness, so its a total waste of time. Given the Gerrard effect I am fairly sure there will be an incredible attendance (perhaps as much as 30K) as our supporters yet again back our club with hard cash, so its entirely understandable from a financial perspective why this goes ahead, but I'll be waiting until July 12 to see our season 18-19 debut.

  12. Aye, football players can sign a contract and then never try a leg and still get paid in full, any other line of employment you need to perform! work! and do your job properly! or you get sacked!

  13. Perhaps they have appealed to the employer and this is the next step? However perhaps football rules are different? A "normal" employer would not be able to fine an employee in the way that Rangers have done.

  14. By default, Johannson and Lövenkrands and Laudrup are all Scandinavians too, as was Kai Johanson (sp?). Glass half-full full Loyal!

  15. The Arabs are reinventing the wheel. Wee Jim McLean had that distance rule in place during his entire tenure at the club. I note when Jum Spence occasionally reports on his second favourite club, he refers to the United Chair as, "Mick Martin". Probably plays better with both Jum and Mick's favourite club?

  16. Maybe but I'd suggest a Viz like cartoon strip that highlights the immaturity on display. To begin with, you'd need a wee baldy Brahim Hemdani type, with a placard that featured four paragraphs of some obscure A of A . Then you could add in a more Vanguardian element with a different style. .

  19. Blazer chasing = WMDs If the burning issue is about who wears the blazer then that shows a level of maturity that is embarrassing and pathetic.

  20. I hate when an institution has to investigate itself as it rarely backs the victim. See BBC! Rangers have already done their investigation and that is their answer it is now time to move on to the next independent step. Unfortunately the SFA and SPFL are not an honest appeal centre but Rangers will have to go with their judgement.

  21. I get the feeling Miller is trying his best to make as much bother as he can for the club because he wasn't offered a new contract. Bitter almost. As for Wallace, he's like the forgotten man. When did he last kick a ball for us?

  24. I have no idea what went on. Obviously a heated exchange of sorts but if I'd been in that dressing room, I'd have went ballistic after that gutless attempt at a performance....so won't be getting on my high horse about it.

  25. I believe you need to sign up for the "home friendlies 18/19" thing as part of CCCS. I just recently bought my 1st season ticket and home friendlies was an entirely separate option. Think the non-season ticket home games is for European, League Cup and Scottish Cup games.

  26. a lot of people are as much against fan ownership, as they were against the RST, Rangers First, and now Club 1872. Who knows what their motivation is but they've got a whole forum to spout their shite

  27. It is worth noting C1872 have not been forced down any road, it is of their choosing to go back on their word and use the majority to try and force change. It smacks of a lost cause blazer trail, which we have seen before of course. The real winners in this are RIFC, who have had C1872 where they want them from the beginning. Never independent, compromised and controlled from day 1 and soon to have even less influence if that is possible. Another circa £1m in to the club yet C1872's holding will be drastically diluted at the same time. But as long as the club prospers all will be well.
