  1. Don't know how to cut and paste but the official Rangers Twitter has just posted a statement saying that due to exceptional demand for ST's we are going to restrict every away side to the corner next season. Fantastic news!

  2. Spare a thought for Michael O'Halloran, he might not get a ticket for the next OF game now! (Shamelessly stolen from Ian Duff on Twitter)

  3. I didn't think that the directors would have had the balls to do it. Well done to them. I wonder what the police are saying?

  4. Cue ........ All media Yahoo types and fellow travelers fulminating at the injustice. When Hearts and Hibs have done it to our away support, it was supported by the usual suspects because it suited their prejudice.

  5. We've had lots of different colours of away strips. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Scottish_Football_League/Rangers/Rangers-change-kits.html I don't see the problem in an orange/tangerine strip. It's a nice colour and it looks good. The oranje cup final looked superb. We've had orange buses and orange subway trains in Glasgow. So what? Likewise I've worn green ties and orange ties. If we want to move away from religion then we need to stop associating colours with religion. It's just a colour.

  6. This calls in to question every decision made by the sfa re rangers while he was there. Urgent reviews needed of everything.

  7. For the record I have never worn a green tie. The oranje cup final was superb. I'd no intention of wearing an oranje top to it, dressing up for cup finals wasn't really me, all felt a bit too tartan army for my tastes. I was driving down Dumbarton Road to pick up my mate listening to Cosgrove and Cowans on the tranny. Cosgrove was spitting feathers about the oranje thing, inferring anyone who took part was clearly a bigot and it shouldn't be allowed. I promptly stopped at a wee Partick clothes shop and bought an orange t-shirt. A few pints later I'd bought an orange wig too. It was a great day and the stadium looked immense. A great after party in The Nile that night too.

  8. They currently receive 4 for the Broomloan and us 16 for there, they will now receive 7 for the Govan West Corner and we will be reduced to circa 6 or less over there. I'm not averse to the move per se in fact I'm inclined to welcome it but a nett reduction in available home wheelchair spaces when there's a waiting list of 221 people isn't acceptable.

  9. Clyde SSB going into meltdown, about how terrible a decision it is for Scottish football & how it will have massive effects through all clubs & grounds. What they miss is that it will only directly effect 2 league games per season. Since Rangers have no control over Ceptics ticketing policy - what they choose to do is up to them. Every other visiting teams supporters get the same ticket allowance & it's never been an issue....but now it's Armageddon pt2. Good on the club for putting its fans 1st....

  10. I’ve waited a long time to see this but I expect Celtic to complain to the SPFL and the police. Let’s get the tickets sold before they do.

  12. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/season-tickets-a-thank-you/ THE Club takes this opportunity to thank supporters for renewing their season tickets in record numbers. The deadline for renewals was last week and we received more than 40,000 renewals, which is far in excess of the previous highest level achieved in Rangers’ long history. This figure is truly inspiring and can only help boost the confidence levels of Steven Gerrard and his new management team as they prepare for the new season. Following the closure of the renewal deadline the Club seeks applications from supporters who did not hold season tickets for the prior season. This has long been part of our Club’s tradition as it allows new and younger supporters, who did not previously own a season ticket, to secure one for the first time. We have already received an enormous number of requests in advance of the close of the renewal date and we have had to consider carefully how best to accommodate these supporters in light of the record renewals. Our supporters will always come first and as many of them as practically possible must be accommodated. That is why the Club has decided on an overall increase in the total number of season tickets available to our supporters to what will be a historical record. A further announcement on the final new ticket allocation will shortly be made available on the Club’s website. An unfortunate consequence of putting our supporters first is that this increased demand negatively impacts on the number of tickets which will be allocated to visiting teams. This means all visiting fans will now be situated in the corner between the Broomloan and Sandy Jardine Stands. We believe that this is the best possible outcome after considering the unprecedented levels of support from Rangers fans. Together we are Rangers.

  13. I think the idea of an orange strip is worrying you more than anybody? what is wrong with an orange strip? are you worried it will upset all the Rangers haters? I personally couldn't a flying fuck who it upsets! again why does it bother you?

  14. The fact that the club have said they have had 40k renewals, before opening up for public sale, would indicate that things are going well

  15. They had the top tier of the piggery closed & covered in banners for seasons until Rangers got back into top flight!. When Hibs reduced our allocation recently every man & their dug was saying they were right! what has changed when we do it?

  19. This is a pleasant surprise. I'm glad that we're doing this because of high demand for season tickets. That's the right reason. Keep backing the team!

  20. There is a large can of worms to be opened here, impartiality, without fear or favour, independence of clubs. I think we all know the SFA has been compromised by the insertion of partisan placemen of certain Mr Lawwell and for Celtic FC.

  21. Lifted from FF, no official link to statement yet! posted by Mark Dingwall Response from DK 'I can confirm receipt of information, which would appear to be credible and which merits immediate and thorough independent investigation. Mr Hughes should be suspended pending this investigation. I also believe steps must be taken to ascertain whether any other SFA individuals were aware of what Mr Hughes said about Rangers supporters before he was appointed a non-executive director of the governing body in 2015. It is important to discover if there has been a breach of the SFA’s duties and responsibilities to all clubs.'

  22. Stewart Robertson should start earning some of his large wedge and come out publicly calling for this guy to be sacked. No longer can we be seen to accept this type of rubbishing of our name, or quietly back-channel which has achieved absolutely nothing. So, Stewart, ensure this guy is removed, or remove yourself and let someone in who will take these easy victories when the opportunity arises to rid our game of another of Peter's friends and a Rangers hater.

  24. I said nothing that the entirety of Gersnet were not pretty much in complete agreement with prior to his appointment. When we were failing miserably with Murty, and after a string of appointments lacking decent experience, we were all calling for a more experienced manager - someone with a track record of success at a decent level. Of course all managers are risks, but appointing an untested rookie is obviously a much bigger one, particularly given we literally just did it and he was hopeless. A lot of our support are absolutely incapable of any objective thought.

  25. no, what I mean is the cleverness of the graphics, reminiscent of soviet posters extolling the achievements of industry, agriculture and workers...Then there was the music...very volga boatman in the harmonies as for the rest....I'll certainly watch it....I'd root for any UK team then any from the British Isles.

  29. Not before time. I'm sick of the SFA and their puppet masters. Good at puppeteering, not so good at reporting sexual abuse to the police. F*ck the lot of them!

  36. Perhaps the gloves are coming off and a shot is being fired accross the bow. Makes you wonder if the SFA have anything that might stick regards the upcoming hearing in the summer. Anything that undermines what is basically a group that Lawwell has a degree of control over, is a positive although we could do with him getting his jotters. I look back at the 2016 Cup Final aftermath and can't help but feel we missed an opportunity to go after Petrie and make it very difficult for him to become SFA vice-president.

  39. Yesterday afternoon we had the pleasure of presenting the Founders Story to the Athole Masonic Lodge 384 and friends in Kirkintilloch. At the end of the presentation our Restoration of Graves donations bucket was sent around the hall and the wonderful amount of £ 85.20 was raised. We'd like to thank the organisers for a cracking event and everyone who attended for their overwhelming generosity as this will help to ensure that our Restoration work continues over the coming months. Thank you.
