Lennon and Rodgers both very publicly sounding off about something that is none of their business in an effort to discourage managerial candidates. If Lennon was really that concerned, he could have called Graeme Murty without the need to tell the world about it. -------------- Can't recall so much being made of a managerial sacking wrt the 'pity angle'. It's usually the 'this is a brutal results driven business' line and move on.5 points

I'm not saying we haven't progressed mate, was just pointing out to dB that if we improve by 10 points we still lose the league As buster says, I think we need to just ignore Celtic, and concentrate on us. Concentrate on getting the infrastructure right, the footballing operation working efficiently and effectively - if we continue to just chase Celtic (yes, we want to be top again) then we could very well be in for nothing more than a revolving door at all levels of the Club. Be introspective to get the best that we can in all areas.2 points

Gerrard has arrived in Scotland, he landed at both Prestwick and Lossiemouth in a special charter plane according to those in the know.2 points

We have 65 points with three games to go,............. last season we finished with 67 points. I don't think there will be much in the way of improvement on our side after those 3 games. What has happened is that Celtic have went backwards in terms of points/ consistency of result, I think the most league wins IAR for them this season is THREE (we are 4 (x2) , Kilmarnock had a 6). The feature for us has tended to be that when we do receive a set-back we don't get back off the canvas quickly. Our fragility shows, our confidence goes and we lose more points right away. Celtic on the other hand, nearly always bounce back with a win. What I'm saying is although the points difference (us v them) isn't as vast this season, we still have huge margin for improvement but after a relatively poor league season, so do they.2 points

Completely agree. There are some other very, very good youths at the club and, IMHO, the youth set up at Rangers is in very good hands. The philosophy has changed from a physical style (under Sinclair) to a technical style under Mulholland. Not every age group has it their own way, as you would expect, but they play the game in the right manner - hopefully we will see some of them being blended into the first team picture - but in order to really do that we need to be putting teams to the sword early in games, allowing us the opportunity to give the younger guys minutes. At this point, we couldn't put ANY team to the sword though...2 points

What a crap tweet. Has Murray got to have a directorship for life because of what he did in the past? We need directors to continue to contribute, be it in terms of leadership or finance. Murray's obviously not doing the latter and I've no idea about the former, but we should not have someone on the Board at the moment just because of something that they did in the past.2 points

Really ? If if the SNP had integrity(which they haven't) or Sturgeon was a proper leader of a political party then both Dornan & Yousef would have been at least suspended by the SNP by now. Or even chucked out the party. this 'smash a ******' nonsense was dreamt up by Dornan as part of another of his wee digs at the Rangers support. It is effectively wasting police time as there's zero evidence. Also his withdrawal from the deputy leader contest to focus on sectarianism was absolutely hilarious too. A bigot like Dornan ( IRA songs et al) to tackle sectarianism. You couldn't make it up. The SNP know they'll get little or no support from the Rangers community so they get their useful idiots like Dornan & Yousef to try & provoke the Rangers support. Waiting for the slightest reaction then playing the victims card. They are the lowest of low politicians who deserve all that's coming to them.1 point

It was quite hard to believe the ages. The Celtic captain was a big lad and some of the others were very athletic looking. Our lads played very composed stuff for their age. They presented themselves for the ball and were comfortable in tight spaces. Hopefully we can broaden our scouting and bring the best players into this set up coz it looks to be working.1 point

I was told from someone within the Academy that a few years ago (probably 3 or 4 years ago - certainly during the admin period) we played Celtic at all age groups and soundly pumped them (ok, journalistic license... we beat them at all age groups) and on the Monday morning there was a significant post-mortem at Parkhead. The result of which, I am led to believe, was a change in their philosophy to ensure that they were beating us in the age groups, which resulted in them going the more physical route. Personally I much prefer the technical rather then physical route. It has been fairly easy for Celtic to bring youth into their first team in the last half dozen years because they know that they have literally no domestic competition, and because they have been routinely pumping teams, allowing their youngsters to get minutes when the games are dead - lets see if they continue to do that when we become more of a competitor again. For us, we have been fairly poor in the first team and with little depth to be able to bring through the youth unless absolutely necessary - eg, would McCrorie and Bates really have been given their chance if not out of necessity ? Once we have a stronger playing pool we can bring the youth through to get minutes the same way they have. I think our youth are doing pretty well considering. And as I said, there is one in particular in the youth ranks who really does have the potential to "go all the way" much in the same way as Billy Gilmour - different player, but really is that good, IMHO of course.1 point

We need more players with their careers in front of them instead of too many experienced 30+ years old players. If we want to be an energetic side with 'legs', we can't keep buying relative oldtimers. We need a core that has a couple of real leaders, especially central defence and central midfield.1 point

I don't know how much David Edgar knows but he said in his update programme that Murray does have personal issues and has been considering leaving for a while, but he said Murray does not like the way things are going and is against the Gerrard signing. The other notable thing he said is that George Letham had brought in Barry Scott and he now wondered what his position\stance was.1 point

They should include free soap with ST's. It would save them writing to ST holders about their unpleasent smell. Celtic write to fans reminding them to WASH after complaints about smelly supporters ruining games https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/celtic-write-fans-reminding-wash-64517921 point

The article failed to highlight Murray's faults as well though which made it little more than a puff piece. However, the source's previous relationship with PM suggests the commentary over any possible fall out might be credible so it's now up to Dave King to fill the vacuum with actual action. Only that will avoid further speculation.1 point

To be honest I think it's too early to know what to make of it. The article made the case for Paul Murray as a Rangers man and a man of integrity pretty well. We still haven't had an explanation as to why he's resigned. Maybe I'm against the majority here but I think it's obvious there's been an argument between them, and I'm inclined to think Murray had a good reason to resign. If it was all amicable the statement would have been very different and it would have explained what was going on.1 point

Depends on the bye-laws and Constitution/Articles of Association. They may have restricted numbers of Board members. Those can obviously be changed but it could take some time to hold the Board meeting to agree the changes and then the filings to take effect at Companies House.1 point
