  1. Rangers should follow suit and sack him, after a full disciplinary procedure of course.

  2. Aberdeen win tonight means a draw will do us to prevent celtic winning the league on Sunday. Equally, you could say it means that a win would keep us in second place.

  5. TOP accepted the share offer could be funded by that trust. They knew where the trust was operating from. Seems to me if it takes a bit longer to move that money, they'll simply wait until what he has put in train is complete. Don't think it's a major problem at all

  6. The lad clearly has a problem with abuse of alcohol. He needs clinical and psychiatric/psychological help, with relevant support, and counselling. The Club ought to extend this, although drying out treatment, and the rest, in a foreign country, with little family, friends, and others there, and a language barrier, may be even more difficult than at home. (Actually, and before the shock troops jump in to rubbish my suggestion, it occurs to me that the Club may, contractually, have to use its most reasonable endeavours, as lawyers say, to get him dried out, before it can even consider termination.)

  7. I saw a clip of McCoist saying that unless their was significant investment then no-one, including Guardiola and Mourinho would be a success at Ibrox. In other words, he was partly absolving himself from any blame of his personal failure in the Ibrox dug-out but is never keen to mention the relatively significant 'investment' that came his way. ----------- TBF I don't think we are going to be able to properly consider a new appointment/project until we see both the figurehead and the backing he gets (both staff and financial / and the way the latter is invested).

  8. Never mind all the fancy formations tell them to get their sleeves rolled up and get stuck into this lot because if they don't they will get thumped they are playing to try and restore some pride , give the fans something to cheer for a change .

  10. we got English stars under Souness because we were able to better their wages and had the european stage that wasn't available to players in England. Gerrard will be faced with a different situation. I'm surprised the Aberdeen can pay McInnes £600K + but what do I know ! Murty has more managerial experience of a first team than Gerrard who has none

  13. I think you are being too optimistic. I don't think the next manager will want him anywhere near the squad for a variety of reasons. The solution is to pay him off. Any misbehaviour on his part will make that easier.

  14. I still think he could do a job for us. He's good in the box, sh*te out of it. Perhaps too expensive an impact player, but if he's used intelligently, he could play his part in paying off the outlay. I'm perhaps being too optimistic here -- we do need everyone pulling their weight.

  15. You would think the whole of Scottish football would be excited by getting someone of the calibre of Gerrard to come to the league? instead the Scottish gutter press would rather print lies and negative fabricated shite!

  16. This is turning stories to suit your argument. Pedro started managing when he was only 28 and had been at a number of clubs as assistant or full manager. Teams managed 1999–2003 Desportivo Beja (youth) 2003–2004 Vasco Gama Vidigueira 2004–2006 Sporting CP (assistant) 2006–2007 Al-Hilal (assistant) 2007–2008 Panathinaikos (assistant) 2008–2009 Rapid București (assistant) 2009–2010 Saudi Arabia (assistant) 2010–2011 União Leiria 2011–2012 Nacional 2013–2015 Santos Laguna 2015–2017 Al-Gharafa 2017 Rangers 2017– Cruz Azul Ally McCoist had played under a number of managers and was assistant to Walter for 4 years. He was also a coach under Walter at Scotland so a step up to manager was not that crazy a decision. After all the great Bill Struth had taken roughly the same route. on the other hand Dave White also took the same route he had managed Clyde and was assistant under Scott Symon before stepping up and he failed to win a major title. Warburtons problem was not so much experience but bloody mindedness a trait that he has shown at virtually every club he has been at. You could have of course included John Greig who was taken from player to manager and flopped. Willie Waddell was successful at kilmarnock and gave us the ECWC and a LC but never won a title and he was experienced although he did give us the new Ibrox. PLG had experience in winning the French title 3 times but flopped with us. As you can see experience is not a guarantee for success as our history proves and unfortunately money probably is the biggest guarantee for success these days.

  18. Rodgers is getting a bit too regular with his publicly aired opinions on our business. He is more or less saying that Gerrard would be making a mistake to come to Rangers.

  20. McCoist, Warburton, Pedro and Murty are all managers with little or no experiencing coaching at a decent level. They all failed. Of course a rookie is the last thing on God's green earth we need. This regime is just like the last two - clueless.

  21. In my heart of hearts........we need a manager with experience.......the only reason I can see we'd go for a rookie is we couldn't get anyone else. ...and if it's a rookie there's one with some experience of actually managing a top team. Step forward Murty I'm just not getting it folks. # uneasy.......as they would text or something

  23. I just remember Bartley flying into a crunching tackle on Broonaldo, sending him spinning through the air. Is that enough to warrant a move? Yes; yes, it is!

  24. Something I noticed during their 33 minute 5 goal rampage was that Liverpool began employing a long ball strategy while Roma were set up in a high press. Completely bypassed the midfield and destroyed Roma with great pace. It could have been even more than 5 as they missed some gild edged chances prior to the first goal. If Klopp wins this trophy he's heading to be a football God playing the most entertaining brand of football. I can remember a comment from Alex Ferguson some years ago when Klopp was still at Dortmund that he always watched Klopp sides play because it was so entertaining.
