  1. It's a good point. I have stated before, I am a license fee payer. My professional life was sixteen years in the Parachute Regiment. I relied on the BBC World Service to provide news, current affairs, sports, ..... etc. If I continue to pay my license fee, why should BBC Scotland get away with NOT providing a service? There are disabled Bears, sick Bears, Bears living in remote areas, Bears around the world working, ...... etc. Again, they deserve a service. The PQ gang hut mentality deserves to be exposed and ridiculed, at every turn.

  2. Move the fhilth support to Govan Graving Dock, then flood it.

  3. Only a fool would try and predict an oldfirm game. I predict 2-1 Rangers.

  4. Another very comfortable win so only complaint was we didn't score more with Morelos having an off day in front of goal (though the rest of his work was fine as usual). Bring on the Celtic.

  5. Morelos has had a bit of a nightmare today. Cummings will be wondering what he has to do to get a start in a league match.

  6. As Frankie said the club need to start highlighting these issues, if they don't then nothing will change!

  7. It's embarrassing again from the pish poor refs! shocking, every week it is the same!

  8. As long as Rangers keep saying nothing (publicly at least) abut these weekly assaults then the officials will opt for leniency. Punch a Rangers player in the baws, yellow card. Bounce the ball hard when frustrated with a decision, yellow card. Hmmm....

  9. Straight red. Has to be. There's no way a deliberate punch to the balls is a yellow.

  11. Can we move them outside the stadium? Preferably to a gazebo on the clyde with a 12'' TV? No, that's silly; they'll not fill that.

  12. If grumpiness is the sign of a bad manager, it's amazing that Alex Ferguson and Mourino have had any success.

  15. You provide a great service in reporting the output from PQ, but you must put yourself through torture listening to that garbage each week. I can't bring myself to listen to any of it. I've created a world for myself which excludes newspapers and BBC reporting. I'm happy. You should try it. ??

  16. I can't think of anyone who I would want to be manager of Rangers! the way Murty has us playing is good to watch, the players are behind him all the way, players seem to be improving under his watch, if we win the Scottish cup he must be in with a shout, and maybe even the league?. Murty and the DOF seem to be on the same wave length regarding what players we need, if we brought in a new manager will we be starting from scratch again? if it's not broken then don't try and fix it!.

  17. Everyone has their own memory of football matches. When the Scottish cup comes around one name is always the first to jump into my head. Kai Johansen. His fantastic goal in the 1966 cup final is probably one of my most memorable moments of that time. Now I won't claim to have been at the game, simply because I wasn't, but it was one of the images that has lived with me from a young age right into what I hate to say my young old age. I am not even sure how or where I was listening to the game but I can just remember the burst of excitement goung around when that ball hit the back of the net. As far as I can remember Rangers were'nt given much of a chance to win that day, and it was at the start of Celtics domination in the years to come. For years after I remember walking down the Copeland road towards the Kelvinhaugh ferry and the Kai Johansen pub standing there as a shrine. I always remember walking in awe while staring at the name on the way past and remembering that goal. I think it must be one of the most memorable in Rangers history especially for older bears. There have of course been many great and bad memories in the Scottish Cup. After 133 years every football supporter in Scotland will have some memory somewhere. Even Hibs knew they had not won the trophey since the early 1900's when they played us two years ago in the final. That one hurt. 12 minutes from lifting the trophey and then see the game turn on it's head to lose 3-2 Hopefully this will be the year we can exorcise that ghost and go on to win it this time. I know many people think that the SFA should cut all there ties with Hampden and play the Scottish internationals and Cup games at Ibrox, Parkhead or Murrayfield but for me it would never be the same as a Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Thinking so far ahead is possibly showing a bit of disrespect to our opponents Falkirk on Sunday but given the way the team are playing I am getting lured into thinking the biggest worry will be that we don't pick up any injuries before the Oldfirm clash with Celtic next week. Wrong! The Scottish Cup is a one game and a chance for these smaller clubs to produce a shock result. Falkirk are really not that small a club and have produced many surprises in the past so they are certainly a team to take seriously. Rangers managed to get a pitch cleared of snow to train on a grass surface and Graeme Murty was confident that they would get the Ibrox pitch in good condition in time for the game tomorrow. The problem may be the police stopping the game going ahead due to the condition of the surrounding areas. Winning the Scottish cup will probably be the best chance we have had to redeem our pride after that infamous Hibs cup final unless Celtic collapse in the league so we should be going in to it with all guns blazing and finish Falkirk off before they get their confidence up. C.mon the Gers. Sorry guy's I don't have time to finish this off or add to it. as I have a family emergency. If a mod wants to add to it or rewrite it that is fine. Pete.

  20. Totally agree on both counts. Well in fact all three lol. I hate Man U as well so that doesn't help!

  21. Same here. The way they play is outrageous at times. Brilliant to watch. The wee man got his 600th goal today.

  23. Just on the way back. Another great performance from the team. Some of the football is terrific. Just a joy to watch. Tavernier was MOTM for me but I guess you have to give it to Cummings. We can win next week and in the semi final. Great football all roun. Fantastic!

  24. I don't think we will change from our two preferred setups, 4-4-2 diamond and 4-2-3-1. We are flying just now so we don't need to fear them and especially at home. There's no need for us to change much, if anything, but they will no doubt think long and hard about what they do to stop us. For the first time in a while, they'll have more to worry about than we do.

  25. Job done. Well played and now we can look forward and prepare for next week. It's going to be one important game after another until the end of the season.

  26. You'd prefer a whole stand of Tims singing about the Provos to the Broomie being full of Bears supporting our team. That's just odd. Stick them in the corner, like all the rest. Or there's some fields in Athenry... they could set up a big screen there for them.

  27. Thompson sure is a Grade A tosser rather than referee. Utterly bizarre once more ... You now hope that we go through the rest of the game uninjured ...

  28. Nobody as it will be a diamond with the fall backs there to provide the width.

  29. Aberdeen at Ibrox is usually a great atmosphere, we don’t give the sheep the whole of the Broomie.

  31. Signed. Their behaviour against us from club, players and ‘fans’ means we have no obligation to give them a high profile section of our stadium. Give this stand to Rangers fans. Put them in the corner where they belong and treat them like other away fans. It has gone from a noisy, rowdy spectacle to a bitter hatefest against us and against our very existence in our own stadium. We could fill that stand with Rangers fans like we do for every other home game. Let a new generation of Rangers fans support our club at Ibrox. Btw there is no point filling it in and not giving your Rangers number. As for the pleasure of seeing seeing their faces when we beat them I’d far rather see an extra 7000 happy Bears. I’ve seen enough of their miserable hate filled coupons to last several lifetimes.

  32. Amazing what can happen in a year. Gio would've been a dream move last season, now I'm not interested! However, to be fair, I don't know enough about his style and tactics to make an informed judgement.

  34. As soon as someone has been indoctrinated in the ways of Celtc-Mindedness, their ability to tell the truth comes into question. As for the DR, them telling the truth reminds me of that Pinnochio kid.

  36. Done. I'm sick of them getting the whole stand.

  37. Correct, the fringe players will have to try extra hard to get into the team so whoever gets in will want to stay in which means they will have to perform well, exactly what having competition for places is all about, just as it should be.
    1 point
  38. Agreed. I had a long drawn out complaints saga with the BBC regarding this issue, they make it very difficult to complain and then you end up with nothing!. Is this something Club 1872 could take up? or better still the club itself?.

  39. In any case, it will be good to have Murphy and Docherty in there, chaps who will sure give 120% of the already good standard that they have.

  40. You can make arguments either way but I tend to think that the squad would be better for Cummings getting 90 minutes, for Morelos getting a break and that we can take Falkirk, regardless. However, I wouldn't argue against continuity if that's the way we go.

  44. I think previous results against them have little bearing on next weeks match. We haven't had such a consistent run nor such quality in depth since our return to the SPL. We're the form team in that league in every way right now.

  45. Definitely not. C1872 cash should go to the club. In addition C1872 are currently saying that every penny raised in the current promotion will go to the club. The issue is caused by Dave King's arrogance and it's up to him to deal with the situation that he alone created. C1872's funds should not be used to get Dave King out of a hole.

  46. Listened to the podcast and I'd add that Tommy Wright made a comment about the Kane booking just before HT. He said that it was a coming together and not worthy of a booking. TV footage was conclusive that it was a petulant kick from Kane and by the letter of the law, should have been sent off. No-one on the programme thought to challenge the Tommy Wright view of events. Contrast this to BT Sport, where even Sutton said it was a red card. .
