It's a fair point but it's worth noting that our new signings were made to address the issues we have at home when teams sit in. As such, I'd like to think results will improve at Ibrox and, if we can maintain our away form, then a challenge can be made. Sure a title win is perhaps unlikely but it's good to see some optimism for a change.3 points

I don't see where all this optimism is coming from. We've won less than 50% of our home games this season.3 points

Green would've been happier to collect transfer fees for them......money that would have disappeared out the Ibrox door to who knows where. As I remember Southampton did pay a transfer fee for Davis which was confiscated by the SFA2 points

Depends what their targets and KPI's were. Nothing to do with bottom line I suspect. No worries for me. Keep up the good work.2 points

I’ll never understand people who judge players solely on how old they are. Davis is a fine player, I’d rather proven ability over potential any day.2 points

Fair comment but at the same time you would imagine that all things being equal winning more at home would be an easier challenge to rectify than many other challenges we have faced. And as it stands we would be winning this league if not for that somewhat peculiar feature.1 point

Mmmm Would winning all our home games not be a transformational improvement.1 point

The criminal side of the Celtic BC child abuse is the responsibility for the police & relevant authorities. However the football side is for the SFA to investigate if there has been evidence of cover-ups at forthcoming court cases. At the very least they will have brought the game into disrepute. More seriously it will need to be determined whether the club gained any sporting advantage at the times of the offences by deliberately trying to conceal them. Maybe Regan didn't have the stomach for this hence his departure.1 point

I think Cardoso has potential in the way that all 23 year old professional footballers have potential. I think the problem is some seem to talk about developing player potential in a completely abstract way as if they are talking about cultivating crops or something. Football has far too many variables for a transfer policy like that to be anything other than risky - even when part of a multiple pronged approach.1 point

I don't think £1.3m for a 23-year-old defender is excessive. I still think it's too early to say. He's only been here 6 months, with little football; and although he's not developed -- not surprising, really -- I think he's still got potential. We've not developed him yet. There's no doubt that was the intention, though; so he has to fit into that category.1 point

Looks like Ibrox to me. Pretty clear it represents the best known buildings in Glasgow so of course Ibrox is in1 point

If the fhilth loses to the sheepshaggers, and we beat the Hertz, ken, then.......the game's afoot.1 point

That's exactly why I am optimistic. We've lost most of our home games and yet we are still within a reasonable touching distance of Celtic. That's how poor they are. We don't need to have a transformational improvement. All we need is to start winning at home against the other teams in this league (i.e. the bottom 8/9 teams) and we can challenge.1 point

Yeh for me it's just about making sure there is something resembling a title race. Celtic will drop more points this season. They're dropping them all the time. That loss to Hibs has probably scuppered our chances of really challenging, but it we got close and put some space between ourselves and Aberdeen then we'd have a springboard for next season.1 point

I think our current board would have been happy when players walked out on green. I think Green would have been happy too at not having to pay their salaries1 point

You're giving them too much credit, Pete. I heard most of the Green Brigade wear slip-ons because they can't tie their laces.1 point

Ever the optimist and I agree but chances are fading. I can accept the odd bizarre defeat here and there but we have had too much this season to suggest we wont have anymore. Even if was only a 6 point gap id be more realistic but 9 points plus goal difference means games will run out but its frustrating to think about it. At the moment we are relying on them having another slip up soon which they dont tend to do. Knowing Aberdeen they would rather take a cuffing from Celtic to allow us a chance of catching them. But we are relying on Aberdeen finally beating them and if we close the gap to 6 then i would say its game on. But lets take care of Hearts on Saturday first and see from there.1 point

Its a tough ask to pull back 10 points, given their GD. However, they have three tricky away fixtures before the break - Aberdeen, us and Motherwell. If Aberdeen can break their duck against them and we can beat them at Ibrox, it really is game on. That’s assuming we are up for the fight, no more silly points dropped. Our confidence is high and I think the team have finally shaken the nerves when we go behind. My glass will be half full until the last drop is gone.1 point
