  1. That was never a penalty - his arm and hand were in perfectly natural positions and there was no way he could move his arm out of the way. To then book him is an absolute joke. Madden was dreadful throughout. Was the Accies player who emptied Docherty at our 3rd/4th goal booked?

  2. that pitch was well dodgy....ball bouncing erratically ....so lots of balls over the top from both sides. I was waiting for someone to get injured by it......should be banned from top division

  3. We really should be top. Some of The points we have dropped have been ridiculous

  4. A win today and we go second on goal difference. This squad of players should have enough about them now to go and get this done. Consistency of result should be our biggest aim and winning has to become a habit.

  6. I was just pleased to get the three points today because these plastic pitches are a lottery at times. we would be top were it not for our poor form at home

  7. Im not sure 4th in the spl is anything exciting. He inherited a cup winning team and has done ok. To be honest they make us look consistent and only seem up for the bigger games.

  8. You know, if they didn't have to end the show, to give some other overpaid talentless bastards with brass necks a crack at the airwaves, by about now they would have convinced themselves that Acas had actually won the match. Was there much talk about the other game this afternoon, the one where fhilthfootballclub dropped two points at home to St Johnstone? Surely Cosgrove was on the mic, or on the 'phone, to gloat and to sing the Saints' praises, like the diehard fan he is?

  9. I heard BBC Radio Scotland's full commentary today and was perplexed by some of Rob McLean, Derek Ferguson, and Billy Dodds contributions. We expect nonsense from McLean, and Derek's boy was in the Acas midfield. However, Billy Dodds is trying too hard to please his paymasters. Three points I had to check out on the highlights : 1. Windass scores his first goal but Billy doesn't want to credit him, it's an own goal from the Acas keeper. 2. The other two are undecided on the merits of Acas penalty; not Billy, it's a penalty and Martin deserves a caution because, "he makes a habit of leaving his arm in the air". 3. Only one of Rangers goals is deserving, as the other four were direct from Acas errors. Billy, I know you utilised your Sunday broadsheet column to inform the readership, "I no longer consider myself to be a Rangers supporter". I know you are a recipient of an EBT and at PQ, that makes you a moral leper. They are NOT going to love or respect you, climbing into Spiers clothes to be the latest useful idiot demeans both yourself and what's left of the listenership.

  10. Agreed. If the Sheep can beat them at the weekend and we win all our games till the end of the season, then we're champions. Just feel our central midfield options are a bit weak. We really need a player who can put his foot on the ball and control the match. Not just players who are pretty small and treat the ball like a hot tottie.

  11. Hopefully a very hard fought match and some injuries. We just have to concentrate on winning our own matches.

  12. Hello folks. Here because of what's happened to RM. Plus its full of rockets these days, so could do with a new forum. Good result today, conceding 3 is brutal, even if one of them shouldn't have counted (the pen). Other than that, thought it was good. Starting to think I got it wrong with Windass and thought Docherty was pretty bad. Looks like he needs to chill out a bit. Maybe a wee chill pill before the game and he be better. His passing was pretty bad today.

  13. Now in second place. Let's leave the sheep and Leith tramps in our dust and get after the scum.

  14. Well, it's job done and some of the goals were excellent but we were far too slack and open at times which better teams would punish IMO. It seems silly to be complaining after scoring five goals and generally dominating but when you can see how good we can be it's a shame an occasional lack of application and poor decision-making spoils the good work we often do. This team are capable of a lot but we need to cut out the unforced errors.

  15. Controlling the game but still very slack at times. Another goal would really allow us to relax - not before then!

  16. Agreed, Walker's claim for a Hamilton penalty was also laughable.

  17. Playing really well here. Morelos is just superb. Walker just can’t help himself. Why must he commentate on our matches?

  18. Bizarre game with some awful defending from us early on. Generally though the team weren't working hard enough when Acas were on the ball. On the other hand some of our attacking play is very good and we genuinely look like we could score every time we go forward. However, we really need to be a bit more solid in the middle of the park and deal with their big lump of wood up front better.

  19. OK, in an ideal world, we'd have one or two of Dorrans, Jack, McCrorie and perhaps Wallace also involved in our first choice team but that's a very strong XI we have out there today so there should be no excuses if we don't bring home the three points.

  20. During Big Eck's tenure as Rangers manager, downsizing was continuous. Pre-season tours were held in Germany and Austria. A number of players were invited on to these ten day tours to see how they performed and some were offered contracts by the club. Michael Stewart was such a trialist and I remember he provided a number of interviews looking forward to picking up his career at Rangers. Big Eck decided NOT to offer Stewart a contract. Stewart was most angry at that point, he let it be known the exercise was a waste of his time. We have learned that Michael does not like to be bettered and he holds grudges. However, Michael should be used to both personal and career disappointments. His football aspirations died at Hibs after accusations he led a player revolt. His political aspirations died at Edinburgh South, he lost out on SNP selection to Michelle Thompson(she was a success), and his career as a pundit will crumble too as Stuart Cosgrove continues to champion him as the best pundit out there. You sound bitter Michael, are you bitter?

  21. Last night we presented the Founders Story at the Kincardine Masonic Hall. At the end of the evening our Restoration of Graves donations bucket was sent around the hall and the wonderful amount of £137.88 was raised. We'd like to thank everyone who attended for their generosity as this will help to ensure that our Restoration work continues over the coming months Thank you. http://i64.tinypic.com/zc7a.jpg[/IMG]

  25. Some brilliant play going forward today. Windass first was outstanding. Big win and the added bonus of Celtic dropping points - we could really pile the pressure on in the next few weeks now hopefully

  28. Good listening to Murty again ... he clearly sees much of the problems that we all see and look determined to adress them. I actually wonder about the amount of strikers we had on the bench, as opposed to midfielders. As for the Scum, right now their mistakes should be pounced upon. They are hardly the "force" of last season and perhaps the pressure and injuries will take their toll. Let's for the time being enjoy our run of good results and form though.

  29. A shower of yellow cards, a couple of reds, some significant injuries, supporter fighting, mass arrests, questions on the floor of Holyrood, and a draw, while we beat the Hertz, ken (I think it's them next up).

  30. Scum FC draw 0-0 with St Johnstone @ the piggery, 9 points behind them now! can we catch them?

  31. Agreed, how can you slide in with your hands in an unnatural position? the standard of refs in Scottish football is embarrassing, I just expect poor refs now regardless of how we play!.

  35. Players have to take their chance to shine in training. A number of our managers have declined to use him so I think it's fair to say he's had chances. Some players can play for other teams but can't handle the pressure of playing for Rangers. I'm not saying that's definitely the issue with him, but there's nothing I've seen of him to suggest he should get more first team action for us. If he had everything as you suggest, I'm sure he would have been used more.

  36. I would like him in, he would be quality and better than any in the yahoo’s midfield, can understand looking at younger players but it’s not always the way to go, think Murty a bit fixated on younger players. Every case on it’s own merits, 2 years out of Davis could be gold. Also think for all the good signings in the window we are still a bit detached and someone in midfield who can play a bit and drag the team together to instruct them what to do from the middle of the pitch and drive us on is what we are lacking.

  37. Also it is possible Murty will improve, the same way as players do! he may grow into the job? the players seem to respect him!.

  39. I'm not sure how: Bates is not faster than either, and Cardoso is inferior. Alves-Martin is probably our strongest line-up. Although, Bates has done nothing wrong.

  40. Stewart seems to be attempting some kind of vengeance attack on McLeish. Unfortunately, while this has taken years, and his grievance is now mature, vintage, even, airing it surely provides him little satisfaction, and he must have the taste of the bitterest of gall in his mouth. McLeish, after all, is now happily ensconced in the Manger's Office at Hampden, and, unlike Stewart, is, let's be honest, a serious figure in Scottish fitba' again. Michael? ....well, he is exposing himself as among the most bilious, begrudging, smallest minded, emptiest vessels out there. If only he knew that in matters of retribution, Avon trumps Doon, and that, although nursing your wrath to keep it warm can be effective, revenge is a dish best tasted.......cold.

  43. We need, as a club, a core of capable Scottish players, with an idea about what playing for Rangers means. He’s a defender that has proven he can defend , let’s keep him.

  45. still not sure what his "previous" injury was. He went to somewhere in England (was it Lilleshall?) for treatment for something. Wasn't there a Liverpool player who had back problems and they solved it by removing teeth !.....am I havering ?
