The difference? The current directors have given security for a lending facility to a financial institution in the same way as most other clubs in Scotland. The current directors have lent the club cash and taken no security. Ashley lent the club £5m and took security over Edmiston House, the Albion, auchenhowie for HIMSELF and took copyright over the club's trademarks for HIMSELF. There's a huge difference and it's nothing to do with a Traynor statement. Let me know if you're still struggling to see the difference.

Ashley was/is a chancing robbing, thieving bastard, who put very little into our club, except loans and got a massive return for very little, Massive and very different situation from the current board trying to get the club back on a even keel, without robbing the club of assets.

Just a wee update on this. I have finally got round to emailing RYDC about becoming a lotto agent. They are sending the info to my house in Scotland and under my name. If we go ahead with this it is possible it would have to be in my name and not Gersnet's. But any commission received under the account would go right back to RYDC - Gersnet wouldn't take any of the commissions. Also... Just when we should have been celebrating a good win and two fantastic goals against Partick Thistle, with one finger to his lips telling the away crowd to shoosh, Josh windass changed the whole accent of post match discussion from the fantastic goals and win to his stupid gesture. If Graeme Murty is a good manager he will have given Windass a good ticking off and tell him he should have more respect to the people who pay good money to watch him come wind rain and snow and ultimately pay his wages. If Windass has any sense then he will ask to do the pre-match press conference and apologise to the supporters. Then the matter should be forgotten and entered into the realms of history and we all move on. I can't let the Thistle game go by though without another mention of the two fantastic goals which were completely different but both works of arts in their own way. The first was five quick fire passes without a Thistle player getting a sniff of the ball. The move started when Foderingham gave the ball to Bates just outside the Rangers area. He took a few strides forward and then released a fantastic pass to Candeias who knocked it around the corner as they say with the outside of his foot to Cummings. Cummings took one touch and weighted a perfect pass to Candeias who had sprinted down the right wing and in turn took a first time perfect cross to Windass who had out-sprinted the Thistle defence and side-footed it into the roof of the net. If they were playing darts it would have been a nine darter. The perfect game. The perfect goal. If the first goal was a Vincant van Gogh then the second was a crazy Salvador Dali. James Tavernier played a midfield 1-2 pass with Josh Windass. He received the ball a little behind him but controlled it and strode forward into the Thistle D and then rifled it into the roof of the net giving the Partick Thistle keeper totally no chance. The reason it was a Salvidor Dali is that Tavernier came from the left side of the field. Windass's pass was not great but the end result was a thing of beauty. A bit crazy like Dali's work On Sunday we move on to the picturesque seaside town of Ayr to play Ayr United in the fifth round of the Scottish cup. Ayr are at this moment in a footballing dogfight with Raith Rovers to be champions in league division one. They are leading the pack by one point but Raith have a game in hand. The Honest men as they are called have a far better goal difference because of their goals for, so it would seem they are a very attacking team and know where the net is. That said they have already lost thirty goals Which is higher than three of the teams around them. That is possibly good news for Rangers as it makes them a team that is not good at defending and all the noises are that they want to go toe to toe with Rangers. Lawrence Shankland and Craig Moore have been scoring a bundle of goals for Ayr so this could be the much feared banana skin if we lose our concentration and think the game is won before we enter the field. Beating us would be a fantastic scalp for them but the chairman would probably be ecstatic to get a draw and get a replay at Ibrox giving them a fantastic financial boost. Good news coming from Ibrox is that the injury problems are starting to decrease with Kenny Miller back on the bench with Bruno Alves and Ross McCrorie ready to hit the training field. Kenny Miller has not been very popular with some fans but his experience enthusiasm and work rate are second to none and does give boss Murty an added option. Murty will probably keep Foderingham on the bench and play Jak Alnwick in goals. I can't see him changing the defence although he may bring Fabio Cordoso in for Russell Martin or David Bates. Declan John went of sick on Wednesday so Lee hodson or Andy Halliday could step in to the left back position. Halliday was preffered on Wednesday so he would probably be the first choice. I would imagine that Greg Docherty will get a full game so the question is who will drop out. Jason Holt or Sean Goss are not natural defensive players and both have their strong and weak points. The golden foot of Goss or the hard work of Holt. This may be a game for a hard worker rather than a slick passer so I will go with Holt on this one. I would love to see Morelos and Cummings together in a two man attack, although it would be difficult to overlook the form of josh Windass. Candeias is also in the form of his life and is a must start for me. I think the team will be: Alnwick Tavernier Bates Cardoso Halliday Holt Docherty Candeias Windass Cummings Morelos

Fans are hypocrites. They give out pelters but get all offended when they get it back. Not in my day they didn't mate. This is a recent thing that's crept into the game. As said earlier, most of those shouting about Windass were doing so while the game was still under way. In my experience the ones with the loudest online voices are those who do plenty of speaking and the minimum of paying to attend.

Racist abuse aimed at anyone is totally obnoxious and a sign of ignorance on the part of the person or persons committing it .

It's over and done but I wish football authorities would put a stop to the inane goal celebrations which to me are so tiresome.There should be a time limit to get back to kicking off,similar a player being substituted should have to leave the field within-say 30 seconds. I attended a developement squad game where the Leicester players ran to a corner every time they scored,there were no fans to celebrate with in these corners,so irksome.It spoiled a good night.

I've critritised Windass in the past, but have no problem with him proving me wrong, in fact i demand every players i criticise proves me wrong and keep proving me wrong. I worry when players are not trying hard enough to ram it back down our throats, long may it continue.

I just want to correct you on your point about a security. It is very common to have a standard security in place for an overdraft (in fact it's unusual not to have it if the business isn't banked with the lender) so I don't know where you get your info from. Also, we obviously decided we need the player more than the cash, so if you want to know the difference between now and back 'then', there's your answer.

What a mess the Honorary President of Cove Rangers has made of things. He, and his sidekick Rod Petrie, should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. No chief executive, no national manager and no main sponsor. It is utterly embarrassing. A national disgrace. Scottish football, and the SFA in particular, is in need of a radical overhaul — starting with the bungling blazers right at the top. Getting rid of Gordon Strachan in the first place was a mistake in my book. But to do it without having a ready-made replacement lined up is nothing less than gross mismanagement. I was surprised to hear Walter Smith was willing to hear what the SFA had to say. I wasn’t in the least bit surprised to hear he no longer wished to be considered for the role — fed up with the delay and dithering of McRae and his cohorts. Those tasked with finding a sponsor, a chief executive and a manager four months after Strachan was emptied are not fit for purpose. They cannot deal with big personalities, big names and egos. But so long as they get to take their pals to all the big games, wining and dining them, shoving prawn sandwiches down their throats, nothing will change for the better. Having been sold down the river by Michael O’Neill, the only course of action for Stewart Regan was to resign. He did so — merely adding to the woes of McRae and Petrie. As much as it pains me to say it, these guys must first appoint a CEO before they can even consider a new manager. What happens, for example, if they appoint a new boss and — when the new chief executive follows — there is an immediate clash of personalities? I want to know the identity of the new manager like every other Scotland fan, but we must first find Regan’s successor. Smith telling them to shove it should speed up that particular process. Clearly, O’Neill was the man they wanted but, after he pulled their pants down, moving for someone like my old Rangers boss should have been a no-brainer. The fact he was willing to talk to them should have seen him invited to Hampden during the course of the same conversation. But this is the SFA we’re dealing with and nothing is as straightforward as that. Instead they let Smith stew for a week before the man himself informed them he no longer wished to be considered. It’s another huge slap in the face for the beaks. I saw plenty of people opposed to Walter coming back. The same ones who don’t want Alex McLeish near the job either. But ask yourself this. Why did they leave the Scotland job first time around? It was because they had been successful. They had improved performances, driven up standards and delivered results on the park — where it matters most. Walter would never have returned to Rangers in 2007 had he failed in the Scotland job. Similarly Big Eck would never had his move to Birmingham had he flopped as national boss. To overlook someone like Walter would have been a dereliction of duty. They at least got the part about making contact with him right. But given his incredible achievements in the game, why the hell should Smith hang about waiting for the follow-up phone call that might never come? Do the SFA think that, at the age of 70, Smith has nothing better to do than sit by the phone and wait for their call? It showed a complete lack of respect, perfectly in keeping with the mob in charge at Hampden. Smith seemed like the ideal choice. He commands the respect of the players, media and the majority of fans. Yet somehow the SFA have managed to b***s this up too. McLeish would seem to be the last man standing now but I suspect he too will have deep reservations about the role. And why are the SFA only targeting men out of work? A comprehensive list should have been drawn up long before they ditched Gordon Strachan. Instead they put all their eggs in the Michael O’Neill basket. The whole process has been one major disaster after the next and in any other walk of life those responsible would pay with their jobs. But McRae and Petrie are never going to give up their cushy number with the SFA. Not when they can glad-hand their way across the globe. Not when they have a free ticket for every big game going and not when they can show off in front of their pals in their executive lounges. No harm to the Highland League — or indeed any club in the lower echelons of Scottish football. But guys whose teams play in front of two men and a dog at weekends shouldn’t be charged with making the kind of decisions that will impact on our game for years to come. Sadly right now that is the case in Scottish football. It wouldn’t, and doesn’t, happen anywhere else in the world. It has been made out to be much worse than it actually was. Rangers player doing well and becoming a bankable asset = cause friction, upset the fans, form drops, so does value. It is just another part of the ongoing campaign against us. A complete non story.

Benteke after months of failing to hit the net and ripping the piss with his obscene wages made a gesture after finally scoring a goal. It was a hilarious moment. Windass doing a gesture after scoring against the pitiful Partick Thistle is even more hilarious. I can't actually believe our support are trying to justify what Windass has done here. Can you actually imagine Lionel Messi netting a goal, turning round to the Camp Nou faithful and mocking them with a gesture? Please. To me, tolerating this sort of pathetic bullshit is like how we allowed Ian Black to continue playing for us after betting against us. Or when Ashley, the Easdales et al proceeded to rip the absolute **** out of our very being, only to have supporters backing them. Standards have plummeted. Windass might have good stats this season but he was horrendous for over a year, goes missing for massive spells and he has about as much chance of ever playing in the EPL as I do.

Thing is, if ever there was an opportunity for any ''journalist'' to stand up to the rest of the gutter press it is now, they would probably get a lot of success despite the harassment they would get from the Rangers haters, is there anybody willing to do that? it seems not! an opportunity non the less!.

I've said all along he should not have done that, however it is hardly crime of the century, if he keeps progressing like he has been doing he will become a very good player for us, or he will be sold for a decent profit, can't believe the amount of uproar this has caused!.

If these individuals are found guilty then the SFA have a duty to investigate Celtic.

I agree the structure of the Scottish game requires changes but coming from Liewell that is rich. With the influence he and his cronies have had in aiding the destruction of the game in Scotland for purely selfish reasons, he is the last person from whom advice is needed. Arrogance personified.
