He’ll play this season. I’ve been watching him through the ranks at Scotland level. Very quick, great physique, finishes from all sorts of range and a natural left footer. Superb.4 points

It's usual to take an interest in your biggest rivals. Celtic fans take that to a whole new level, and in many cases it is an obsession that borders on mental illness. You can't compare the two fan bases when it comes to this. It's night and day.4 points

I'm more tempted by £8m than I ever was with £6m -- £6m is not enough IMO -- but I think we should be looking for closer to £10m. It is getting close to being too much to turn down.3 points

There is no denying that we keep an interest in their going on but it is a ridiculous statement to say we are just as obsessed as them. They email other clubs when they hear we are in transfer dealing with them, they pour over our financial releases, they take out adverts in foreign papers to try and say we’re “deid” (they also can’t spell), they give ongoing commentary on our games, you simply can’t open a Rangers based thread on social media without literally hundreds of comments from moonhowlers about “Sevco”, you can’t read an online article without hundreds of comments from moonhowlers about “Sevco”. They really do have a mental problem.3 points

Handicapped fans deserve a higher place than the same height as the pitch which has a restricted view.3 points

We've been going through the motions already and certainly not matching the appetite of Fraserburgh. He's not been our worst player but I've no idea why we keep persisting with Niko. He's clearly done and unless he's played in a much deeper role then it's just a waste as he doesn't have the legs to link the play and be the extra man. Yes, I know he hit the bar with one good effort but aside from that he wants too many touches and just can't do it quick enough any more. Halliday, Candeias and Windass have all been awful as well whilst no Tav and a poor John this evening means we're struggling to get forward and giving the home side more confidence than is necessary. We have to do better this half or could easily be embarrassed.2 points

It's a win-win situation for us: we get a good amount of money, or we keep our top scorer for a few more months. Happy with either outcome.2 points

There probably is activity going on right at the last gasp but whether anything comes through remains to be seen. If nothing else comes through I feel we're still well covered. There is no need to rush Morelos out the door. He will still have 2 years remaining on his contract at the end of the season and there is a chance that if anything his value may increase. It can only spur him on to have Cummings waiting in the wings or even up there beside him.2 points

My excitement has passed. It's all talk and nothing official.2 points

Look at the amount of games both him and Fleck played post leaving us allowing them to develop. Nobody would be happy giving a player for us that much time to develop. Seperate related point but this is what still annoys me greatly about our div 2 back to prem period. This was the time to blood young players but nope we just signed a boat load of mercenaries on stupid money instead.2 points

I think Murty is a different breed in that regard though. He seems completely ambivalent to a player's age and standing. Seems to me to have the "if hes good enough hes old enough" mentality. Whilst not technically bringing McCrorie in he has stuck by him. He threw Barjonas into the mix at Easter Road when we were under pressure, and has used him in other games. Happy enough to use Bates too. I think this lad stands a better chance of 1st team football under Murty than he would have under Murty's 2 predecessors. SlimJim, you need to curtail the superlatives.... or I will actually start believing we have a tremendous talent on our hands and start to get excited about our scouting department....2 points

Cracking player, have seen him playing for Scotland youth teams many times, great addition to academy squad and potential for first team.2 points

If we sell it shows a lack of ambition and a slap in the face to the fans its stupid selling our best for a paltry amount is a stupid move 8 million is not a lot these days .2 points

Be interesting to see what affect this has on Morelos. Let's hope he keeps his feet on the ground.1 point

Going into detail about how his head has been turned by offers coming in and figures flying around. No need to detail that - if that is the case then it should be kept in-house.1 point

No injuries + no replay = job done. The team played like middens, right enough.1 point

Very, very poor performance but we're through and I guess that's what matters. Anywhere near that level of application and Hibs fancy their chances but should be a totally different team and mindset hopefully.1 point

Well, job done, get down the road and get rested and prepped for our next outing.1 point

Turgid. Our Keeper has had more touches(mostly splices and howks); than Fraserburgh's number one. So far, unprofessional.1 point

I would expect the second half is when it will all fall apart for Fraserburgh. They're running even more than they need to and they're soon going to run out of steam. The Fraserburgh guys are on an adrenaline buzz from playing in the biggest game any of them will likely ever take part in while for our guys even being there looks to be an inconvenience at best.1 point

Awful game on an awful pitch in awful conditions. However, it has to be said a few of our players are also awful and the attitude from a few more equally poor. I hope Jimmy Nicholl goes through them at half-time as that's not acceptable.1 point

I don't think it's that bad. Full blooded tackle (after a horrendous first touch it should be noted) but his foot/leg go in sideways. Not studs up and not with any real intent. I cant get wound up about that tackle - it's supposed to be a contact sport !1 point

This made me snort with laughter: Gareth Southgate’s Godson, Freddie Woodman, has left Newcastle United for Aberdeen on loan. The star of England Under-20s World Cup win last summer badly needs game time and Derek McInnes, Aberdeen’s manager, will throw him in at the deep end as replacement for the injured Joe Lewis. Brendan Rodgers wanted to take Woodman on loan to Celtic but has lost out to McInnes and Aberdeen. https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2018/jan/31/transfer-deadline-day-aubameyang-giroud-batshuayi-mahrez-latest-live1 point

Kai Naismith never done much with us, even in Division 3. He's playing well in League Two, but I don't think we lost anything there. But, Fleck was a real talent; he played a few games for us in the SPL. We were too impatient with him -- he left when he was 20! Were we really expecting him to stroll about like a top-quality, first-team player at that age?! I was astonished we let him go at the time; I'm still a wee bit miffed. I do note that he has been playing deeper than he ever did with us. He's still only 26: I'd take him now!1 point

True, but physically he’ll have no problems so I’m not sure why he wouldn’t be challenging very soon. I’ve been raving about this player for a couple of years.1 point

Worth noting that when Morelos moves that will be his fourth club in a very short space of time. Whilst all players want to play at the highest level for the most amount of money, this just smacks of being a mercenary. If Morelos had any sense he would stay at a club like us for 2 or 3 seasons, build his reputation in Europe and then make the move. As things stand if he does go to England, it will be the Championship or very low end EPL.1 point

Funny enough after the feynoord game a young fan came next to me at the front with a piece of carton with Stephan Berghuis can I have your shirt written on it. Berghuis jogged across and threw it to him. The wee guy and his family were over the moon and spent about 5 minutes taking photo's.1 point

It's quite satisfying that we're able to turn down an £8m bid! (What was it, £3.7 for Dembele...? )1 point

I just hate the Tims. I don't watch their games or spend hours a day reading and writing about them. There are a sizeable number of that lot who are obsessed with us beyond anything we ourselves do. They can't stop thinking about us....sad, sad lives.1 point
