Let's just nip this in the bud right now, Chris; Rangers are fighting for 1st place in the Premiership.5 points

Thoroughly enjoyed the article. Is offers many questions regarding the deeper unsavoury social engineering in modern Scottish society. The role the media plays in that, and the potential links to a narrative being pushed politically. There is a frivolous free for all on attacking Rangers supporters to deflect attention from what is happening in other areas of society. The fact that football supporters singing songs in a jovial manner in another country makes tabloid headlines is laughable. Coupled with the media burying of what was mass violence orchestrated by Celtic supporters highlights the witnessing of a far more unsavoury process.4 points

The real reason C****c fans wanted it banned is because it such a stirring song!, it sounds terrific, nothing to do with them pretending to be offended!, they wanted it banned because they hate it!, nothing to do with sectarianism!.4 points

so...how much does Boyd think Jones is worth??? Hes playing for a team that is fighting to get into the top 6 in the Scottish league. He's really only played for Killie (1 app for Middlesbourgh, 11 apps for Hartlepool (loan) & 1 app for Cambridge Utd (loan)) Scored a grand total of 6 goals Had 1 app for N. Ireland (as a sub) To me going in around the £300k mark is rather generous. I can't see anyone paying over £500k.4 points

No harm, no foul. I was going to say he's probably looking for a longer-term job, but I'm not sure Lambert will last 6 months...4 points

RANGERS are today delighted to announce the signing of defender Russell Martin from Norwich City on-loan until the end of the season. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/martin-joins-gers/3 points

All they did after it was banned was complain about every other song we sing. Ill Phil had us singing the Famine Song until I pointed out to him that it was Four Lads Had A Dream. These people are diseased. They hate every single thing about Rangers. Once everything was wiped out they'd be lobbying for our colours to be changed as they found blue offensive. It'll never stop and Rangers should have drawn a line in the sand years ago and said, no more.3 points

Decades of trailing our wake, of being second best, has left them beyond paranoid. They're damaged goods and we see it reflected in every obsessive utterance about Rangers. They'll never recover from NIAR, May 1999 and the various helicopter events. They thought we were dead and buried, now they're frantically looking over their shoulder, choking on their jelly and ice cream.2 points

It's been a tremendous window already, but I would like to see us push Docherty over the line too. I can take or leave Jones.2 points

Some positive chest-thumping there in the article, and there is a lot to be positive about with our January window to date. But, and its a huge but, the one position we are not going to improve on in this window is the one position we need addressed more than any other, THE MANAGER!! We have absolutely no chance of overhauling celtic, and will be lucky to finish second, with Murty in charge. He is capable of pulling off a decent result or two against the bigger teams where we can sit in and defend, but our results against the lesser sides in our league has been abysmal.2 points

I assume Phil was patrolling the square mile as a team leader of Donegal Mountain Rescue?2 points

He's barely worth 500k, but take £1M because it's 'unsettling everyone'. Just take £2M because we're made of money...2 points

Why do I get the feeling that if we had been signing a player from Southampton then that's the club that 3 names would have met a senior official of?2 points

Get in touch with Forlanssister he normally has spare tickets. Drop him a pm. He is usually by the subway selling them.1 point

Hmmm, no I don't think so. The only club unsettling everyone is Kilmarnock, slapping 1Million on a players head. Dangerous game to play as it'll cause the Lads agent to ask the Club why his client is valued at 1 million but getting paid buttons.1 point

Anyone who currently resides in Scotland will know exactly why Ian1964 referred to it as a shithole. Anti-Rangers/Unionist tentacles are everywhere in every walk of life. The press and various institutions have been infested and Rangers supporters are treated like pariahs, without even having said anything. Having said that, many of us have families and homes here and have never had realistic options to leave. It is a shithole but it's our shithole.1 point

I think this is a great idea, and I'd love to hear from you guys (and others on the forums). I enjoy the heart and hand podcast too, but there aren't enough good to ones around in my opinion, so this would be welcomed. I have no idea how I could help, but just wanted to encourage you to follow through with this and to wish you good luck. I have had media training so I'd be happy to pass on the things I've learned from that, if you are interested. Other than that, I think I'm useless to you. Good luck, and I can't wait to hear the first one.1 point

You are correct. I believe the derivation of Pittodrie is, 'shit heap'?1 point

I'm actually pleased with this signing. He's a wee bit old, and he's not the best CB -- as his Scotland performances will attest -- but I think he'll be a solid option for us over the next couple of years; he's experienced and will give us that physical presence at the back. Murty also suggests Martin has leadership qualities, which we have been crying out for. A Martin-Alves pairing at the back should be solid in the air! But slow as stop!1 point

I would go 'home' at some stage. It is what it is, no matter where I am it's still where I hail from. My roots.1 point

Surely any player with as much experience of Scottish football in general and Scotland in general as he has knows that this is going to be a high profile existence with every move both on and off the field scrutinised. I would though suggest he curtails his clubbing in Edinburgh. They truly are a vile crowd and perhaps the most bilious in the league. There are already threats being bandied around about what could/should happen to him if/when he plays for us against them in their own bile pit.1 point

Because he can ? Sometimes the places you love can also be places of scorn. The wee village I grew up in I love.... but it is still an absolute shithole. And the majority of the village population would agree, sadly.1 point

Dorrans can also play left and has done throughout his career, Wallace to come back and maybe John can play left mid/wing?1 point

Has he? I thought he was a Right-midfielder (or off the striker), but I'll take your word for it. If it's a straight choice, it's a ... "no-brainer". But that's purely hypothetical.1 point

Well lets face it. He will never be a coach, because that means training & applying himself. His other options are: opening a pub Doing the after dinner speeches thing (however seeing as he only had success with Kilmarnock & us, that market wont be big). or lastly the path of least resistance, … Journalist(ahem)/pundit. Option 3 is his best bet. He knows that the only way he’ll get the work though is if he follows that well-trodden route of saying not nice things about the big bad Rangers. That way he will get a lovely pat on the head (and maybe his tummy tickled) by his pay masters.1 point

Outside this wee shit hole of a country that is Scotland the Rangers fans are admired and respected by all for turning up in numbers and supporting our team, especially since admin the loyalty shown has drawn respect in the football world, the American commentators were even singing our praises on the other side of the world. And that just shows the gutter press in Scotland up for what they are!.1 point

Totally agree. I have not given up hope just yet. If we can put them under pressure they may just crack.1 point

I think I'm the only one who thinks this is a bad move? What's he done? It's the playing career that gets him in the door at most jobs -- not getting them ultimately -- but that doesn't mean he's going to make a good manager. I suppose it is difficult to attract names to the Wales job.1 point

Couple of quick questions? Can the twitter feed on the main page be hidden again like previously? For unread threads is the only way to mark them unread is to do it manually? (Previously if you logged out the threads unread in that session would become read) Thanks1 point

by footballs governing bodies!!!! by persisting in using the current wording, all we are doing is providing ammunition for all the haters. Change the words to something with a direct connection to the club, that can't be deemed offensive, then belt it out all game long. To make it even better....get it "approved" by the authorities.1 point
