Absolutely gutted with that result Losing 2-0 at home to Hibs is unacceptable. We had 71.6% possession and 15 shots compared to their 7 shots, but only managed 3 shots on target, the same as them. That shows where the problem lies – we weren't clinical enough in front of goal. The stats clearly indicate a lack of sharpness in front of goal. With 15 shots, only 3 testing the keeper isn't good enough. Conceding an early goal from a shot outside the box that went under Butland was a massive setback. We need to be tighter defensively and individual errors need to be eradicated, especially from our experienced players. The first goal gave Hibs something to hold onto and made it harder for us. Hibs were well-organized defensively, and hunted in packs, we struggled to find creative ways to break them down. We relied too much on crosses (29 compared to Hibs' 15), many of which were ineffective. We need more intricate passing moves and players willing to take risks and try something different in the final third. While we had more possession, did we really control the midfield effectively in terms of creating clear-cut chances? We need our midfielders to be more incisive with their passing and movement to unlock stubborn defenses. Losing possession in key areas also allowed Hibs to launch counter-attacks. After Hibs scored, our reaction wasn't strong enough. We looked frustrated and struggled to impose ourselves on the game. I think We need to show more urgency and composure when we concede, and have a clear plan to get back into the match. Possession counts for nothing if you don't create quality chances and put them away. We let Hibs defend too easily, and their two moments of quality (and a goalkeeping error) were enough to win them the game. This isn't the standards we expect at Rangers. This is why I think Marco would be a good fit for Rangers especially in the SPL His style of play, which often emphasizes a high-pressing game and quick transitions, could be exactly what we need in this league as we know many teams sit deep and try to frustrate us. He is known for his aggressive pressing in the opponent's half, which could help us win the ball back in dangerous areas and create more goal-scoring opportunities rather than having to constantly break down a set defense. When his previous teams did win the ball back, marco’s focus was on quick transitions from defense to attack could be devastating against teams that aren't as defensively solid. This would definitely address our current issue of often being too slow and predictable in our attacking build up play plus He has a reputation for being a demanding coach what I've been reading and pays close attention to tactical details. Plus also the fact we need a complete makeover of players who only turn up for big games and don't put in a shift. Guaranteed they will put in a shift on Thursday.

My father was a Clyde fan, as a boy I would sometimes go with him to games, couple of good players they had were Harry Haddock and Tommy Ring. Shawfield had the best Bovril, individually made and salt & pepper available. After my father died it took me 3 years to give his shares away!

There was an old Scotch fitba coach called Nicky MacAvelly. He was a great influence on me as a young man. He said that when you get a mercenary in he'll be bad even if he's good. I don't think it's the coaching.

hear you this is rangers dinnae get beat

After 10 minutes we were playing 3 attackers against a well-organized brickwall, Barry. We had no width, no spark from midfield and a threesome of CMs that don't exactly click against such tactics. Aside from not shooting or running into spaces. Even Jason Holt did it better than our three supporting midfielders ... or however you call them. Jefte is a shadow of his early season form. Ridvan, for all his faults, at least tries something and is demanding the ball (and gets it). Tavernier is far too often not on his usual right wing-back slot, leaving that side open and easily defended. Don't know if you can actually ask for better defending from our centre-halfs. The first goal was IMHO pure luck, the second one caught Souttar out on his left hand side, with Jefte somewhere and no DM in sight for cover. These DMs (name any of the three) are there to spot these runs. In short, why no Hagi? Why no Cortes? Why no Bajrami, or McCausland? E.g. at half-time? We could easily have gone three at the back, get Jefte and Diomande off, and bring attackers on. THAT would have shown a manager's will to change things which ain't work. The moment I posted that 4-3-3 earlier this afternoon, my gut-feeling said that Hibs will have a field day, given their form.

The guys shite. Cairds on the table. 100 appearances for Rangers, 101 goals conceded.

BF - "God, where do I start? How long have we got? That’s not a Rangers team. That’s miles away from a Rangers team. A few home truths were told after it. Celtic and Europe are easy to get up for. These are the bread and butter. You play for Glasgow Rangers. If you can’t get up for it you shouldn’t be here."

Just finish the season now and shove the renewal email in the bin

I stopped reading at Yilmaz is a "young" "asset".........😁
-
It's big Sam and Billy Davis who are being spoken about.
-
Yilmaz and Cortes are young assets so I wouldn't even entertain letting them go, unless accepting a decent offer. Tavernier is still a standout performer. Propper has admirers in The Netherlands, so won't be an issue moving on. Butland I'll give you. Again, it's not an issue. It was an issue the last couple of seasons, but Koppen has done well to clear the deadwood.
-
We lack creativity in central MF. Tin hat on here but a Calum McGregor type player who wants the ball & builds from the back
-
I get your point. I don’t think celtic were taking it easy. I think the Rangers players knew the points didn’t mean a lot so without that pressure they played without the usual fear paralysing them.
-
100% And not playing 3 holding midfield players who you could throw a duvet over they are that close together.
-
You've not read what I've written. The players we have in our squad should be good enough to beat the run of the mill teams and would be if coached properly. There are no meaningless OF games, Celtic were trying as much in the 2 we won as they were in any of the games they won. Bad players / teams don't get to EL quarter finals. The issue we have is is more suited to our style of play than the SPL is. Again, that's down to coaching.
-
Tavernier? Butland? yilmaz? , Cortes? Propper? these aren’t OOC Others too aren’t out of contract whom we’d probably like to move on
-
And it’s also about playing players in their best positions. Igamane is unsuited wide left
-
I don't think that's an issue this summer. We've let go most of those, and are down to bare bones. We're ready for the next phase of our rebuild.

Just watched a very good dame from Villa park were the home team won by the odd goal in three yes a first class game .
-
Most of the players are just going through the motions in league football wait until Thursday they will be running down every bal putting in tackles ans all the rest sadly we got quire a few imposters just taking a wage packet basically because no one else would buy them
-
Butlands got the yips best to take him out of the firing line come Thursday
-
Crack on if you think that squad of players is good enough. Beating the filth when it means absolutely nothing doesnt impress me , when it matters we blow it every time. I honestly wouldnt lose sleep if any of them left tomorrow.
-
I dont think hes the answer either but is he going to throw the amount of goals this guy does ?
