  1. Past hour
  2. Agreed he was by far one of our worst flops he was after all coached at youth level there.
  3. While you're prepared to give chances and offer up such examples. I give you Michael O'Halloran as some balance.
  4. Supposedly Scott Brown was a Rangers fan too but I don’t know about that tbh 🤣
  5. @Frankie should definitely bring some sort of golden raspberry ceremony, where we can vote for worst players by categories 😂 Only real thing to be done with this season tbh.
  6. Kenny Miller was a Rangers fan growing up. Neil McCann on the other hand......😀
  7. Just read the thread I posted. Jeez, some memories in there. Oh and I'm in the Gersnet Hall Of Fame apparently - round yees......😀
  8. If we can give Mo Johnstone , Kenny miller, and I believe Chris Burke was once part of the setup over there before they came to us a chance to make there mark, I’m sure we will be willing to give Rose a chance depending on what he says obviously about the Hat Scarf situation and how he performs, I’m confident he is the strongest candidate in terms of what way we need to play and what us fans want them to play like. Yes with SG we know what to expect but then again do we really want to go backwards or forwards.
  9. Did a quick search and hey presto...... https://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/ipboard/topic/254-gersnet-award-results/
  10. Ha! Aye, maybe if we ever win anything again...
  11. I have mate actually 😂 but anyways my two cents 😂 if he's in awe of that lot, another that'll show them too much respect. Avoid.
  12. Have you missed the last 5 pages of this thread......😀
  13. Just to be clear, this Marco Rose? It's a naw from me ✋🏻
  14. Good thing about Rose I suppose is he is more familiar with European football and champions league/Europa league games, plus as we know the Germans have a knack for pressing and dynamic transitions. Put the hat and scarf aside who knows it could have been flung in a bin outside after the game or on route to the dressing room , I’m sure he will be quizzed on it if he was to become our next manager.
  15. There was a time we had Gersnet awards, maybe @Frankie can reinstate them.......😀
  16. Especially if he uses the Dunes at Gullane
  17. Looking forward to: Flop of the Year, Butterfingers of the Year & the prestigious "I missed the most sitters" award.
  18. It worked for Wallace during his first spell, not so much his 2nd spell.
  19. Wonder who'll get "crock of the year". Fair few candidates.
  20. I’ve been doing some research on Jock Wallace, let’s hope Rose uses the sand dunes at Gullane like jock did as it’s sure to build up some muscles and definitely aid in the overall fitness of the players or chuckies will do also, was he a Royal Marine? Supposedly a player said he was explains the intimidating and hard work regime if that was true 🤣 I suppose one thing Rose does do is wants to play fast direct football and cut out all the high and wide balls and play more dynamic football and both seemed to like hard work or wanting the ball won back straight away soon as they lost it yet also wanting more energy and emphasis.
  21. That should have @compo on board 😀
  22. Ongoing tonight, nothing at all put out by the club. Probably quite right tbh cause no one deserves anything but hey, thought I'd mention this is happening just now.
  23. Today
  24. Forest whacked the post twice and nearly shattered the crossbar plus they had a superb move in the opening minutes of the second half ending with a rocket shot inches wide. The only consolation is that City are more likely than Forest would have been to defeat Palace in the final.
  25. Sounds like Jock Wallace even if he doesn’t look like Jock Wallace.
  26. Marco Rose quote “The basic ideas behind my playing philosophy are emotionality, hunger and being active. We want to be very active against the ball, sprint a lot. We want to win high balls and have short ways to the goal. We don’t want to play high and wide, but fast, dynamic and actively forward. This all sounds really awesome, but it’s gonna take time to develop these things, I’ve always played a diamond when I’ve had the opportunity to do it, bringing in two strikers. Our system, even when we play with all three up front, is something like a diamond.” I believe he got given the hat and scarf was because a fan gave him it after they got humped by his former team, plus the fact I believe Rodger’s was jumping ship heading to Leicester. I’m a fan of his work especially when he was with Dortmund. Whoever it is like previous people have said needs to know our football club and what we as fans want and that is to win every single game regardless if it’s a friendly or not.
  27. Suppose so but just as boring.
