  1. Past hour
  2. Same numbers just dont play the game now , and its only going to get worse.
  3. He hated Rangers
  4. If he has sellik sympathies, it remains a 'No' from me. It would, actually, be incredibly disappointing if the best that we could get was someone with a degree of affection for our enemies. Not that it matters, none of us have any influence. I await an explanation for the bizarre photograph, from him, once he is in situ.
  5. Villa were right off it yesterday. Today Forest v City poor so far. Many empty seats at the City end.
  6. As far as I can see, he (Rose) doesn't have any indiscretions. Unless having a Celtic scarf on for a few minutes after wiping the floor with them counts. It's all hypothetical anyway as we don't know if he will get the job, or even be considered.
  7. Although Stein was a member of the same Lodge as my grandfather, I don't know if he had leanings towards Rangers. He had played for the fhilth in the 50s, on the other hand. If Marco Rose could be as successful with Rangers as Stein was with them, I think many people would feel able to forgive him many, if not all, indiscretions.
  8. You mentioned players tho.... Sure Jock Stein OK for them.
  9. They did. Neither were/are a potential manager with leanings towards the fhilth, of course. I don't want a sellikman in charge. Players I can thole.
  10. Today
  11. I don't need to let it sink in, I do go and watch Rangers now and again. The board were slow to sack Clement so left themselves in an awkward situation given the impending takeover. They then did what they do best - went for the easy / lazy option hoping it would appease the fans (like we're zipped up the back). But again, no matter how bad we are at the moment doesn't excuse Clement and can't be, in retrospect an excuse for keeping him on.
  12. I am in agreement regarding Rice. Never good enough. I was talking to one of the other lot who said to me that our youth set up was poor, and I agree. But when I asked him what superstars they had produced he could name none. Scotland just does not produce players like it did in the past. In countries where they can play their way out of poverty football is still producing, but here even the poorest kids have mobiles and xboxes.
  13. I'm sure Mo Johnston and Neil McCann did OK for us.
  14. As I said. I don't want a manager/coach/whatever with if you do, then hell mend you.
  15. Raskin....wee mention for Rice, thought he had a decent match.
  16. Very true( unfortunately)
  17. Clement was never going to be there next season but the appointments of BF & co was a knee-jerk reaction which hasn’t shown any improvement. We’re now in negative goal difference GD since BF & co took over….let that sink in
  18. To be fair, you're probably right. The QP game has perhaps coloured my view, together with the Celtic and Fenerbahce results. However the home losing streak is extremely bad.
  19. Raskin all the way Ino future club captain
  20. Too far away from subway🙄
  21. Took a wee trip to see the Sons yesterday, couple of things stood out. 1. Webster our loanee looked a useful player. Son of Andy😳 2. Game was held up in second half due to fire alarm. All fans on the pitch for 10 minutes or so, no fire brigade in attendance. Surely all football grounds fire systems are connected to fire service? 3. Not one person left the ground before full time! Lesson there for some of our fans.
  22. But surely any new manager is going to have to recruit players with those attributes? I just hope any we do recruit don't have an unstaunch name, have leanings to our rivals or have any photos from 8 years ago they need to explain to some unhinged football fan.
  23. First thing I’d do would be a fortnight at Gullane intensive training I’ve never seen such a skinny scrawny bunch in Rangers shirts in my life little wonder they’re always injured.
  24. Herr Rose would have to go some to live it down - not impossible, I concede. To do so, he would need (have to recruit) a battery of players who are fit, fast, physically strong, possessed of basic skills, which they are able to apply, tactically astute and flexible, are 'professional' on and off the pitch, who do not feel that they are slumming it, and who will refuse to be bullied. (The same would apply, no matter the appointment, of course.) If he can do that, and win, then the unfortunate photograph might, just might, be consigned to the dustbin of history. Much might depend upon nothing adverse emerging as to quite why he chose to behave in such a peculiar manner. Was it an empty gesture, or something more, em, sinister?
  25. Currently slapping Aberdeen 3-0 in the Scottish Cup.
  26. Strange substitutions from the united manager
