Dessers is nearing 30 in all competitions which is good numbers but 25 should be the approx league goals target for a No.9 in our league. Think of many he might score if he had a decent degree of balance and ball control it's easy to say he is the top scorer in Scotland but 17 goals isn't exactly in the numbers i would equate to a top striker in any league i remember Joe McBride rattling in 36 goals before christmas before he got injured now men like that were strikers

In modern football, a striker has more to do than score goals. I'm hoping the new manager can bring some players in who score from other positions, plus Raskin has started chipping in more often. Being so reliant on one player to get goals has been part of our problems these past few seasons (particularly when he misses so many chances in big games).

Indeed! We should keep him regardless of the interests, who could we buy that gives us the amount of goals he provides for the price we paid for him or even receive for him?

Bad news: Hannover aren't going to take up the option to buy Matondo, so we'll be lumbered with him for another twelve months, unless we can find some other club daft enough to take him (he scored one goal in eight starts and was hampered with injuries over there).
